Timber Haven Lodge, Big Bear Lake

During my winter visits for skiing, my stay at the cottage with friends have been awesome! we had no problems. The owners are polite, respectful, and available 24/10. Their hospitality made us feel safe and at home like family..The grounds are clean and when it snowed the cottages where lite up like a story book picture of a 'Thomas Kinkade". Summer activities coming soon, look forward in coming back for hiking and summer games. Definetly bringing more friends to enjoy this fabulous place call "Home away from home".

We stayed at Timberhaven over New Years and were so pleased with the both the cabin and the hospitality. The owners even left a bottle of Sparkling Cider on our door on New Years Eve. What hotel would do that? Timber Haven is great and we plan on staying there again this year.

I took my family to Big Bear for a weekend trip three years ago and booked my reservations with Timber Haven Lodge. I liked the surroundings, cabins and the friendly atmosphere, that I make it a yearly event to come to Big Bear and stay at Timber Haven Lodge. This year I'm bringing my friends and hope they will enjoy it as much as I do.

My husband and I celebrated our 9th anniversary by taking our first trip to Big Bear. After a scary drive on a dark road, we finally made it. At first, I was disappointed with our room because I wanted something more "private" for our stay. We had a rather loud occupant in the room upstairs. We managed some sleep the first night, but the next morning I was ready to find a new location away from the elephant upstairs. The staff was VERY understanding, and worked diligently to make the situation turn around. We upgraded to a FABULOUS cabin. I can't say enough of how wonderful the room was (fireplace, jacuzzi, kitchen, etc). It was AMAZING. We're definitely going back.

We loved our cabin. Loved how we were treated. Great location! After checking out and driving Halfway down the mountain we found out that I had left a pair of shoes behind. We decided the shoes where old anyway and not worth going back for. What a nice surprise to arrive home a week later and found the owners had carefully packed them up and mailed them to us at their cost. Thank you Guys!! We'll be back! David McKinnon, Las Vegas, NV

My hubby and I celebrated our 1st year Anniversary here earlier this year and fell in love all over again. Our first time in Big Bear, we had a wonderful experience and the owners, also Husband and wife, were excellent!!! Coming from Las Vegas, their Hospitality and Customer Service beat any Hotel I have visited here. We hope to bring the kids soon and are not interested in staying anywhere other than Timber Haven!!! Be sure to visit the Peppercorn restaurant, take advantage of the in room massages and sign your in room guest book. :-)

This place was very easy to find, convenient and extremely clean. Our little cabin wss adorable. They offer a great continental breakfast which we ate every day saving us time and cost. They even let us borrow an additional space heater so that I could warm my bedroom quicker. Great place, competitive pricing. Loved it!

Timber Haven has the perfect location, to begin. It is just minutes away from town, but it's also down a long quiet road so it's away from all of the busy streets and noise. It seems to be very secluded, but only takes 5min to get anywhere in town. The service here was outstanding. One night we got caught in the snow and the manager hitched us out. They are available 24 hours a day, anything you need. Everyone is extremely hospitable, and treated us like we were family, even though we were a young couple of 20. The price was more than affordable, especially for valentine's day weekend! We plan to return here every valentine's day, making it a tradition. Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Big Bear.
