DON'T STAY HERE!
NOTHING about his hotel is as advertised, and it is a dump!
1. "In Mission Valley". Not even close. It's located on El Cajon Blvd. and Texas St. If you are not familiar with San Diego, this intersection is not Crack Central, but it is certainly Crack West. Definitely not a safe neighborhood for an evening stroll--unless you are looking for drugs or a hooker of either sex.
2. "Remodeled". Maybe your room will be, but ours certainly wasn't, nor was any one we talked to in a "remodeled" room. The carpets are worn and dirty, furniture clunky, takes up a lot of space, and was chipped, gouged, and burned. There was no fan in the bathroom, which explains the MOLD on the ceiling. Our toilet was clogged the first time it was flushed, and again later the same night. Maid service seemed to consist of making the bed and rinsing, not cleaning, the tub and toilet.
3. "Heated Pool". Not. Also, there are no steps into the pool. If you can't climb up and down the small metal ladders at each corner of the pool, you won't be using the pool anyway.
4. "Spa". Well, true, there is a spa, but all the jets are capped.
In addition, the hotel is open on the weekends to the local college students. For a small fee they can use the facilities, and they do, en masse. As a result, every weekend is like a noisy, raucous frat party. They take up every available chair and lounge in the pool area, throw beach balls, roughhouse in the pool, and overall prevent any type of relaxation or enjoyment of the limited facilities. Stay somewhere else! Motel 6 would be a better experience.
