Howard Johnson Inn and Suites Reseda, Reseda

Of the thirteen years of traveling with my wife this was THE MOST disgusting room we have ever stayed in. Half of the lights in the room did not work. There was a light socket that was broken and a childor adult could easily be shocked if they were to put their finger in it. The wallpaper was coming off of the walls. There was some unknown substance stuck to one of the lampshades. (gross) Both air-conditioning units in the rooms had the control panels completely romoved from them. You could not tell if you were turning on the cold or hot. And they were extremely dirty. There was gum stuck on the towel holder in the bathroom. The doorframe near the floor in the bathroom appears to be rotted out and was covered with putty but it was not painted over. The bathroom ceiling had mold on it. OH and yes, did I say that the room was just plain disgusting.....!!! It was so bad that we took pictures of it and plan to send them to the Howard Johnson corporate offices with a note of our displeasure. While I was in the lobby the next morning I heard the manager speaking with another guest who said she was getting ready to finish escrow on her home and would be checking out soon. She was complaining that the refrigerator door in her room would not stay shut after the third time of maintenece trying to fix the problem. The manager said the workers just did not care. When I told the clerk of my displeasure with the room and how bad it was he said, sorry there is nothing he could do about it.
