June Lake Motel, June Lake

Our flight to the area was cancelled and the motel cancelled its promise of transportation from the airport to the motel. So, we were out at both ends. The airline (United) refunded our fare. However, the motel greedily refused to canel our reservation and charged us for the night even though we are prevented from arriving through no fault of our own. In adsditionjh, the male owner was very hostile on the telephone and basically told is to buzz off.

Well room #102 had a broken, slider bathroom door. We actually got stuck in the bathroom (no windows) a couple of times. I'm just glad that I did not check in alone or I would probably still be locked in the head. I also smashed my fingers just trying to shut the door. Very expensive place to stay in my opinion. Beware of tarantulas, a big hairy guy was walking across the floor about 6 a.m.

Stay somewhere else for the same or better price! This motel has outdated furnishings, very noisy especially if your room is downstairs, bath room window has no blinds for privacy, and there's no one to answer your call in the evening if one should need anything. We made a request to be moved upstairs after the first sleepless night due to the noise above and the owner was unhelpful. We requested to shortened our stay and be refunded for the difference and the owner says there's no refunds. Definitely will not return again!

I loved this place. Loved the owners who were very kind. Our Motel had a kitchen which made it very convenient. They had BBQ outside. Great and fun place for family, kids and coupls.

I spent a lot of time in June lake recently and the Mammoth Lakes area. I usually stay in 5 star hotel and resorts because I'm a JAP like that...but I found this place to be extremely comfortable and accommodating. The owners were very nice. We had a Queen room with a kitchen. The kitchen was fully equipped and we saved a ton of $ being able to cook our meals instead of eating out.

This is a pleasent well priced, clean QUITE Motel. We really enjoyed our stay. The 2 "Mascot" dogs could not have been sweeter. It seams the only persons that write negative comment are the one who don't want to play by the rules, written in advance for them.

I had a great time here, everything was very clean even if some things were older. The beds were comfortable and the Kitchenette had almost everything we needed. No papertowels or dishsoap. It was quiet, the owners were cordial and the dogs were a hoot! The only thing I didn't like was the tight parking. The price and location couldn't be beat.

We have been staying at the June Lake Motel for years. It is a delightful vacation. The rooms are clean and the small kitchen is great having everything available for a comfortable stay. Outdoor BBQ's are handy and ready for use. We could not ask for a more comfortable stay and we have been traveling this area for over 30 years!

Lovely motel, lovely people.. Never had any problems there, the owners are especially nice. It has a certain stylish old flavor that you can't find anywhere else in June Lake... Just go there!

I would first like to say I was fully aware of the cancellation policy when I called to cancel. I thought asking for a refund was worth a shot and the young girl on the phone politely said no problem we will charge your card a 20 dollar cancellation fee and refund the rest. I hung up thinking how nice it was of them to do that, I was wrong they charged the full amount which if I had known they were going to do that I would have gone up there skiing. The owner is extremely delusional and has no idea of what the word integrity means. My credit card company said I could get a refund if I had the cancellation in writing which I didn't since I cancelled from my cell phone from the highway. I travel all the time this is the worst experience with an individual I have ever had and I have stayed in all types of hotels. Please don't give these people your money.
