Crest Motel, Astoria

very old run down dusty ... managers are very rude and talk down to employees infront of other employees i got fired for having the flu when everyone one else is alwyas late or leaves early or dont show at all i have only not shown up twice once cuz my truck broke down and today cuz im very sick i dont like being treated different also one boss told me he thought another employee was retarted !!! they are very unprofesional

Great view and spacious room. Clean bedding and towels. Lights were unplugged which was a bother as they were hard to get to. A lot of morning noise between guests and trash trucks. Maybe the best price in Astoria but can NOT be the best place. A few updates would go a long way.

We have been going to the Astoria for the last 40 years.We have stay in just about all of the motels in Astoria and The Crest is the besy value in Astoria.We have been staying here about 4 times a year for the last 20 years now.The mangment is the best.They do have internet now.The view is just great.We have stayed in just about every room.The noise is not that bad.The rooms on the back side are a little small.But they are cheaper also.But we always stay so we can have the view.Every thing about this place is great.The only thing that is not good is getting off of the maik highway into the motel.

To much to say, Everthing about The Crest Motel is wonderfull, boat parking, view, owners,rooms, ect,ect, the maids the manager there cares so much about everyone. we call her the everyones mommy,she make sure everything is perfect for you.

The two main reasons we booked a room at Crest were that they had low rates and took pets (with no extra fee!). We'll go back there again for those same reasons and more. The view of the river is great, and having the balcony off your room is great. There is the privacy issue with the balconies--it's one long balcony shared by all rooms in that building, with no divider in between; we see it as an opportunity to make new friends. The hot tub is great, and has a great view, especially at night. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and seem to have been updated in the last few years. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing tips on where to go for dinner and how long we could expect to spend at some of the museums. We were in the back building, furthest from the road, and didn't notice any road noise. We also had no issues with noises from other guests, and the parking lot was pretty full. The location is just outside of town, so it's either a quick drive or a long walk to see the city; not really a major drawback. In sum: comfortable, clean, a lot of value for your money, great view, pets are welcome, good service. We'll be back:).

We went to Astoria planning for a one night stay, but this motel was so terrific, we stayed for three. Very nice location just outside of town. Extremely comfortable. Beautiful views from every room. Great rates. We will definitely stay there again if we're ever in that area!

I enjoyed my stay at the Crest Motel both times I was there. The setting is great, with expansive views of the Columbia River with it's boat traffic and gorgeous sunsets. Rooms are good-sized and well-kept, clean and quiet. Overall, a decent place. I will definitely go back! One caution, be careful when you pull in and out off the main road, as a curve downhill can have fast drivers heading at you.

Nice and quite, with Great view, clean rooms and helpful staff. Like that they have # parking for your room. And plenty of parking for my boat.

Our room had the greatest view of the river, bridge, Astoria and the boats coming in from the river, all framed in the huge sliding glas doors and windows that covered a whole wall of the room. We were so busy looking at the view that if there was any road noise, we didn't hear it. The room was prefect for spreading out, two large beds, table and chairs, sofa, chair, desk, fridge and microwave, it even came with a deer passing by one morning to say hi. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. We would love too be able to stay a whole summer there, there is so much to see and do in and around Astoria. Rates at Crest are very reasonable,(we stayed at another hotel in Asroria a few years ago that had half the size rooms, twice the price and alot less view). The office personal were great and very knowledgable and helpful about what to do and see and were to eat. A must do vaction. Hope to go back soon.

I liked the motel for the location. A great view of the river and a very quiet sunday morning. It was nice to sit in the hot tub at night and see all the lights down to the mouth of the river. Beautiful.........
