UGH
While the room was reasonably clean and relatively newly renovated, there were lots of problems. As I was checking in the apparent owner was complaining to the desk clerk about another desk clerk who gives guests too low rates! Our room overlooked a cemetery- pretty place, but not exactly what I had in mind. I had booked this hotel because it advertised "broadband, in room, internet access", and when I asked about it at the desk I was told the internet was only available in their "internet cafe" on their computers and cost $2.50 for 15 minutes and a $10.00 deposit". My complaints about false advertising fell on deaf ears. Later, I discovered the door didn't latch and anyone could have entered our room at any time. I decided to wait to inform the front desk til morning because the door appeared to lock from the inside with the deadbolt all right. In the morning I was able to push it open even when dead bolted and there are no chains or other locks. I tried to tell the desk clerk and she was too busy on a personal phone call to stop and listen. I asked for a receipt because I didn't want to pay double for internet (had paid cash the day before) or a higher room rate, considering the owners attitude the day before, and the clerk apparently didn't know what I was talking about, and gave me a copy of my sign in card!
Additionally, the yahoo description lists balconies and microwaves in the amenities as well, and there aren't any! Oh wait, there is a microwave in the lobby, big sign says "popcorn only". The complimentary breakfast was tiny stale doughnuts, coffee and juice from 7 to 9AM. The juice ran out before 8AM.
Skip this place, the service/attitude stinks and there are safety issues.
