Sturgeons Inn & Casino, Lovelock

I have a family member in the prison right outside of town. I travel from across the country and the trip is expensive and tiring and one that I wish I didn't have to make. The emotional toll it takes on me is horrible. Herb, the property manager, and his staff always always always ask about my brother, make me feel welcome and at home, and the food and service has always been wonderful!!!! Only place I'll stay in Lovelock. Lovely locals in a quaint little town. Don't be so picky people....this ain't Las Vegas and you are not paying top dollar. Kudos to Herb and his staff!!!!!

It's cheap,...and It's Cheap. In all fairness I've stayed at 5 star resorts and Hotels, this Inn makes no claims as such, I give it no star out of 5 using High end (expensive) resorts and Hotels as the bar by which i judge, however as far as Inn's of this price range and scale, I give it 3 stars using comparable Inn's at this price range. at $35 a night don't expect a masseuse and gourmet cuisine! I stayed here for a business trip only. I wouldn't have my family stay with me at this Inn.

We stopped here our way home. It was horrible. I will never come back here. When we checked in a girl Sam was working and she had no clue what she was doing, she charged us the wrong amount 2. then we get to our room it was gross the walls were yellow. and remind you this was a non smoking room. the tub was dirty. The sheets were brown and old. We went to go check out the next moring about 6:15am and there was nobody there so we went to go eat. The waitress Lisa walked by us 3 times and didn't even stop. The table was dirty. we waited about 25 mns until we just went and helped our selfs to the food. It was cold and hard. the sasuage was not cooked all the way. the fruit tasted like dirt. The waitress Lisa finally came by we had arleady had our food. She got our drink order. Came back 10 mins later and the milk was gross like it had been out for a while. The apple juice tasted old. Then we waited for some silver ware and never got any. So my son got it from the tale next to us. My wife and I got some coffee and it was like drinking mud.. Oh yah and there was lip stick on my coffee cup. We ate and finally got our check, we got charged for 4 buffets a $8.99 each. That was bullshit, cause my son is only 10 and the baby was only1. That was the worst food I have ever had. Then we had to go find our waitress to pay her, What the hell. So we left and went to gg check out. The girl behind the desk who was named Roxanne, cute little girl. She seemed more worried about her cell phone and her coffee. All though she was kind she made us feel like we were bugging her by being there. I will never tell anyone to stay at this place. The town was quaint and quite. Lots to see.

In the restaurant it took 45min to get one egg and toast, with only 5 customers. I the casino I was insulted while gambling on a slot machine by the Bartender. He called to apologize saying his was overworked. The Casino and Bar had 7 people in it. The only good workers are the girl at the front desk and the people that clean the rooms.

to whom it may consern i want to write this review to let you know sturgeons has come along way sence i was there last. last time i was there the food was terrible the servise was really bad waitresses were very very rude i just came through lovelock and i wanted to give it another go i met a great waitress Amber made sure everything was takein care of even though she was the only one waitress on i will only come back to sturgeons if the cook amber called bobby is cooking. the steak was very good the steak wasnt over cooked or under cooked it was perfict thank you for your time

The people here were fantastic! From Starla at the front desk, Jeannie the head maid, and Herb the property manager everyone was wonderful!!!!! The place is a little dated but clean. Worth the small price. Food at the restaurant was really good and reasonable. Very large portions. Room was clean and ready. Casino and bar are cute. Indoor pool needs alot of work but who cares when everything else was great. The locals were just as nice. Will be staying here again in June 2009. Can't wait!!!

This place has the worst service ever! It took about a half hour to get drinks and menus and then we had to get our own silverware. Half of us finished eating after waiting about 50 minutes for our food and then we had to wait another 45 minutes for the rest of our partys food to come, yes 1 hour and 35 minutes for a pancake to be cooked. They brought half of us the wrong food , couldnt remember who ordered drinks, and there dishes were dirty. Save yorself a gut ache and do not eat here, unless you have all day , like bad service and dirty dishes.
