Rodeway Inn Pronghorn Lodge, Lander

I loved this motel. I would defanitely stay here again. The rooms were beautiful as was the town. There is a resturant next door, a hot tub, laundry facilities and the rooms are very spacious. The staff was wonderful as well expecially Nevada. She was such a dear. I will be staying here again on our next trip through Lander.

We stayed in this hotel in 2002 and had a good experience. In 2008 we stayed again and came away with a terrible experience. The web page indicates that pets are welcome. Don't let this fool you. We arrived as part of a traveling swim team only to be told that we could not keep our dog with us. It seems that only certain rooms are pet friendly although there is no indication of this. We did not make a fuss but rather agreed that he could just sleep in the car. The next morning at checkout, I noticed that $500.00 (FIVE HUNDRED) dollars had been added to our bill because the front desk person assumed that our dog had indeed slept in our room... he hadn't. We insisted that the charge be removed and it was. We believed this to be the end of the story, but I discovered later in the week that the charge had been added back to our bill after our departure. The manager and owner were rude in dealing with tihs situation and continued to insist that they had done nothing wrong by adding the charge back after our departure. They insisted that they had evidence that the dog had been in the room... evidence that they never produced... either to us or to the Better Business Bureau. Luckily we were able to file a complaint with our credit card company and the issue was resolved through them, but it was a lengthy and frustrating process. I will never recommend this business to anyone.

Have stayed here about five different times. Each time has been clean, friendly and location close to resturants. This motel is close to cross roads to Riverton, Sites Canyon and other interesting tourest places. The friendly staff are very helpful if you need any help of any kind. Great place to stay.

The Pronghorn Motel is a gem among the plains of Lander, Wyoming. From the first moment we got there, the proprietor made us feel welcome, even teasing me about my New York accent. The rooms are beautiful and clean, and the area surrounding it is the sweetest little town. Don't miss breakfast, or any other meal, at the OxBow Restaurant, across the parking lot from the Pronghorn office. The food was excellent, the prices good, and the staff very friendly. You can see a nice mix of locals and tourists there. I would definitely go back if I am ever in the Lander area again.
