Gross
By Epoh, 12/05/09
I went there for a Birthday party and we swam a lot and while I was swimming there were black bugs in the pool. So I get out and went to the hot tube and the bubbles in there were dirty so that was it for me. I will not swim there again!!!

This place has really gone downhill!
By Renee, 06/17/09
Have stayed here several times over the past 10 years and during our last visit, we were surprised at how bad it's gotten. Walls are paper thin (always have been). Could LITERALLY hear every word our neighbors were saying and they weren't being loud. 2 of the 3 machines in fitness room were broken. Breakfast at Verto's was good but service awful! And breakfast IS NOT included! Rooms weren't clean. There aren't even matress pads on beds; just flat pads and ill-fitting sheets that slide around all night. Still has old bedspreads, stiff - falls off bed. Sheets seemed to have been slept in. Towels very thin and rough. If we weren't out of the room by 11:00 a.m., they wouldn't refresh our room AND we had to go to the front desk to get new towels. I've never experienced that and I've stayed in A LOT of hotels! Floor wasn't vacuumed and bathroom wasn't super clean. We like staying here for the indoor pool that the kids love to swim in, but we were so disappointed with this last visit, we will not stay here again.

Not Too Bad
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/10/07
I have stayed at this hotel a few years ago and didn't remember it being this nice. The room was very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Ate at Vertos and the food I thought was awful..I had ordered the Chicken Carbonera and it was gross, my husband didn't enjoy his meal either which was the Shrimp Scampi..However I have heard many other people say that it is a great resturaunt and serves excellent food. Maybe we just happened to be there on the wrong day where the top chef was gone! Other than I had a wonderful stay.

Great Chef (Tim McLaughlin)
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/27/07
The best thing I liked was seeing that they took the time to get a great Chef like Tim. He is one of the best Chef's I know I know him from the time he worked in Arizona. If if was not for him we would have never came to Huron. He sould be in charge of the restaurnt, Tim has great talent don't let him go any were. I heard that he was in South Dakota and I was on my way back home from a fishing trip in Canada. Just had to see if it was the same guy and it was.

A delightful place to visit!
By Yvette, 02/25/07
The Crossroads Hotel and Convention Center has it all! Beautiful Rooms, heated indoor pool, hot tub, exercise room, on-site restaurant and lounge. The restaurant and lounge is called Vertos and serves excellent food. The lounge has some of the nicest and most knowledgable bartenders in town. Ladies night is Thursday (ladies get 1/2 price drinks). In addition, the event center boasts several large meeting rooms and 2 huge ballrooms. A great place to plan an event.

Visit Annually on Hockey Trips
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/30/05
We love the underground parking in the Winter! Huron's February climate is a bit unforgiving, but the hotel masks it well. Decent luxury in a small town, with dining and nightclub under one roof!

Get a whirlpool suite. They are large and luxurious. Good value for the money.
