Without a doubt, the BEST b&b!

On our first trip to Door County, we chose to stay in the White Lace inn in Sturgeon Bay and were very glad we did! The staff was friendly and helpful, and we appreciated the warm welcome, especially since we arrived before the check-in time. Going in the off-season saved us $50 a night on our room, so we enjoyed paying $80 a night instead of $130. Plus, in early June, the crowds hadn't arrived, making the trip much more pleasant. Breakfasts were hearty and delicious, the grounds were well-kept and beautiful with iris, lilacs, a koi pond and fountain, a gazebo, and benches, and relaxing in whicker chairs and couches on the front porch of the main house was the perfect way to end a busy day of sightseeing. The inn is located two blocks from downtown, making it easy to walk to shops and restaurants. Be sure to trek across the bridge and enjoy the sailboats and yachts in the harbor. Check out the inn's great website to take virtual tours of the 18 rooms and to download yummy recipes. We love the White Lace Inn!
