A little disappointing
My wife and I ate our New Year's Eve dinner at the Baricelli Inn. The food was good, and the service was splendid, but the ambiance was awful. We were crammed into a tiny room with another table for 2, a table for 6, and two tables for four. We could hear every conversation from every other table in the room. My chair and the chair of another patron sitting behind me partially blocked the only entrance to the room. People entering or exiting had to squeeze between the two chairs. Nearly every time one of the staff passed through they bumped into my chair, making it an annoying experience.
Jodi, our server, did an exceptional job. She was sypmathetic to my frequent chair bumpings, and she advised the staff to be more careful. She was helpful and knowledgable.
My wife and I both ordered the tuna carpaccio appetizer, the fish trio (not a menu item), and a side of fingerling potatoes. The tuna was excellent. I had to finish my wife's fish because she is averse to fatty sauces. I can't blame the chef for that -- beurre blanc is beurre blanc. I enjoyed it. For desert we had the sorbet trio and the ice cream trio, all home made and to die for.
