Budget King Motel, Salina

I picked this place because I was traveling on a budget. Very clean and nice room for under 40 bucks. The staff was very friendly and answered all the questions I had about the area. My room had a strong wifi signal and a small LCD TV, which I did not expect for the price. If you're traveling on a budget and you find yourself in Salina, this is a very good option.

The care takers were very nice. Gave me directions from the motel to where I needed to be in the most direct way. I was very pleased with my room, which was very clean and nice. Older TV, microwave, small frig. in the room. Alarm clock didn't work. Stayed 2 nights by myself and felt safe, was a little noisey at times, people and a train. Parking was a trick, so if you have a dooley or big truck, you might have trouble parking. I saved enough money that I could go get a really nice breakfast! I would go back again!

My husband and I have stayed here on several occassions, and it is clean nice and friendly there. The best we found in salina, and we plan on making it our home. hope this review helps someone. you cant beat the price either.

I have stayed here for the last 5 years when attending the womens National Basketball tournement, and plan on staying agian this year 2009. My wife and i enjoyed our stay here and was very clean with microwave, refridgerator and all we needed, we stayed last year for 6 nights and priviously 5 nights and will definately stay agian this year, Rates are very resonable , and being from Florida, it is worth every penny you have to spend .

I have stayed at Budget King at least 50 times in the past 4 years. It's clean, not fancy, but generally well maintained. Not in the best part of town, but safe enough. Don't expect a 4 star for $33.00! You'll be satisfied.

Dirty, dirty, dirty. Stinky, stinky, stinky. And scary, scary, scary.

We took the advise of reviews that said the place was clean and a good value for what you pay. Well..... you get what you pay for, almost. With us, we asked if they had two adjoining rooms, as we were taking our granddaughter with us. That way, me and her could have one room (because we go to bed early and get up early) and Grandpa could have the other. We had to pay more, and what we got was a shaddy motel room with an extra bedroom. Granted there was a door and a TV in the extra room, but there was no privacy (or quiet). And the room was not clean. there was a rot hole in the bathroom wall. And there was a cracker on the floor in the main room. My husband just said that meant there were no mice! And to make things worst, there was construction going on. The hotel was right on a street that was being redone. My review is - Dirty and stinky! Stay away.

I had an overnight stay here, choosing thiss place because of its price. The management was very friendly and ressponsive to our needs. The room was pretty basic but for an overnight stay it was everything we needed. It was clean, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a refrigerator and microwave oven in the room as well. Unexpected for such a low price. I'd stay here again.
