Never again.

The desk clerk was extremely nice and helpful when we first checked-in. This changed when I had to ask for clean towels the second day of our stay. I was greeted with a roll of the eyes and was told that they would bring clean towels when it was our turn to have our room cleaned ~ 12 noon. That doesn't work real well when you shower in the morning after a run. I had to go to the second floor to track down the cleaning lady to get fresh towels myself. We were only given 2 towels per room and each room had 4 people staying in them. Second, you could hear everything from the vent in the bathroom. There's nothing like brushing your teeth to the sound of someone urinating on the second floor. The rooms had a musky, mildew smell. The walls had been painted, but still had a smoke smell seeping through them. The beds were okay if you like feeling the springs through the padding. The motel had a bunch of construction workers staying there who drank out back throughout the day and night, hiding beer cans behind the tires of cars. The only positive things about the motel is that it is located right off of I-35 and it is cheap. You sure do get what you pay for, crappy service and even worse conditions. I say spend the little extra money and go some where else, which is exactly what we'll do if we are ever in Emporia, KS again.
