Holiday Inn Exp Stes Plano, Plano

My son and I stayed here for 2 weeks this past summer. I highly recommend this hotel! Not only was it reasonably priced, but the staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable/content. The room was clean. The complimentary breakfast was great. They have a nice pool and jacuzzi.We will definitley stay here again!

Stayed at the hotel over the super bowl weekend. The service from the staff was the worst i have ever came across. The thing that put it over the top got bed bugs from the hotel!!!!!!!!!!

After a previous experience a year or so ago, where i had multiple people walk in on a guest of mine in the room (right past the Do Not Disturb sign, but the fact that she was asleep nude probably was the motivation), i swore i would never stay here again. However, time dulls the memory of the disaster, so i tried again this week. The hotel is in bad need of a renovation, but i figured i would only be there for a couple of days. The afternoon of the first day (at 3:15 PM) i returned to the hotel with a guest to find that the room had not been touched, nor the shower fixed as i had asked that morning. There was not a maid on the floor, either. Multiple trips to the front desk garnered reassurances that the room was being cleaned as we spoke. I went back up to the room to find no maid, and no service. I returned to the front desk to get another room, only to find that they didn't have another jacuzzi room. i returned to the room to find once again that the room was not being worked on, and at that point made reservations at a quite wonderful hampton a little further out and left the hotel. Through the whole experience the management was incompetent, condescending and unable to communicate effectively with either their own employees or me.

I have stayed here several times over many years. I must say this last experience was not good. The new staff was not curtious or concerned with my complaint. They were overbooked and the Hotel seems to be going down hill. The rooms smelled really bad. Across the street is a Best Western that I finally visited and it was much nicier for less money.

We stayed three nights and felt the whole experience was great. Sparkling pool, exceptionally clean facility, helpful staff, fantastic breakfast (and not the same thing every morning!) and the location is so convenient for shopping, access to Plano Centre, and DART rail service. We were very impressed and will certainly remember this hotel the next time we travel to the Plano area.
