Do not stay there
By Patricia, 09/11/08
I had a room reserved for five days. On the third day they gave my room away because the cleaning staff thought I left. (I travel light). I found out when I went to my room late at night that some one else was in it. I had to sleep else where that night. I was never called and the staff felt it was not an issue. The staff were rude.

OH MY GAWD
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/11/08
I can't begin to tell you, DON'T STAY HERE!!!! The website is so nice. The concept is wonderful, but holy crap! The place was beautiful when we got there and then I opened my room door. Two other stayed with me in their own rooms. One looked like it had been robbed, although the tv was still there - probably because it was from a thriftstore. The other guy's room looked like a murder scene had been cleaned with Bleach on the floor. It was something you would expect for a rent by the hour motel or a place that has a sign that says - Motel 19.99 a night. This was crazy for 120 bucks a night! I support the concept and hope they clean this up soon, before the idea goes south.

Home Away from Home
By J-De Texas, 03/24/08
I LOVE this hotel my family and I go here every year for the state track meet. It feels just like home. If you don't want to go out to eat there is a fully furnished kitchen with pots and all for cooking. You may have to bring your own plates (there's only like four of everything) The only thing I don't suggest is having a two story room if you have small children; the upstairs room has an opening like a window, and children can easily fall through( it's like a 6 ft. drop).Other than that I suggest it to everyone who goes to Austin. P.S. There's a mall across the parking lot.

Disappointing @ best
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/25/07
I was so looking forward to staying in the hotel. I was very disappointed. It looked like a converted seedy apartment bldg. with the original carpet & furniture. The bar stools in the room are a safety hazard. I sat on the couch & fell through almost to the floor. My travelmate is still laughing. The upstairs bedroom bedding did not match the curtains, (no biggy) but please cover the box springs. No hot water upstairs in the shower. No remote for either of the tiny tvs. Maintenace came out 3 times because the keys did not work. The doors open up to the outside. Didn't notice any security patroling the area. I won't stay here again nor will I recommend it to any of my other friends, co-workers. I travel alot & this place let me feeling somewhat unsafe.

Lovely Hotel in peaceful setting. Perfect!
By ORVILLE RW, 07/21/07
Everything in the room was very clean. It was very quite and relaxing. The staff is just exceptional. They have the most fabulous complimentary Happy Hour ( cheeses, dips, salads, fruits, hot wings, fresh fruits, quiches, soft drinks, beer and wines) and Full Buffet Breakfast! ( Eggs, Hash Browns, toast, pancakes, muffins, bagels, whole grain cereals, beans, pica de gallo, Starbucks coffees, organic teas, juices, fresh fruit and much more!) I highly recommend the hotel. Average hotel bad service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/01/06
Rooms are nice size, just dark. You must request a microwave if you want one in your room. Good location in Austin. One staff member was terrible. Jose, the bartender, was very rude. My friends and I actually observed him serving a 7 year old child a glass of red wine!! He poured it, handed it to him and just let him walk outside with it!! There was no parental supervision around. To make it worse the kid took it to the pool area where he luckily gave it to a older woman! Good thing TABC was not there or the place would be in serious trouble!! Breakfast is very good and snacks in the afternoon are nice. Dial up internet connection was very slow. No fitness room.

Nothing like the pictures
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/21/06
I was really looking forward to staying here because I wanted to support an environmentally conscious hotel. Unfortunately, their way to be environmental is to never replace their linens and furniture. The couch and chair were stained and looked like they'd been bought in the '80's. The sheets had holes and stains on them. All the wood furniture was sticky, including the desk. It was rather uncomfortable trying to work on a laptop while trying not to touch the desk. The suite itself was very dark, completely unlike the photos on the website. Maybe the ones on the second floor are better. Finally, as I was leaving for the airport early in the morning, there was a stream of water crossing the parking lot from the sprinklers. Have they not heard of soaker hoses? Needless to say, I won't stay there again-- and I certainly won't be recommending them to anyone else in my company. I was very disappointed.

Eco-friendly
By Mel, 06/07/06
The room felt like a suite. It had 2 seperate rooms, one was the bedroom and the other a living room. The bed linens were exqusite!! The reception personel were very firendly and polite. There were 2 TV's, so that would be perfect for familys, but I as not impressed with the internet in the room. It was dial-up. There was wireless in the main lobby though. We would defiently stay there again.

Loved the hotel.
By ValletteC, 05/24/06
Loved the friendless and felt I was staying with a friend. Grounds were beautiful. Breakfast was great and enjoyed the happy hour. It was very quiet at night even though there was a lot of people.
