Clarion Inn, Knoxville

The rooms are small the. The bathtub is small and filty. The owner does not respect his guests. The hotel is no were near a five star hotel. The employees there do not speak english which means she can not communicate with a English speaking citizen. The pool is dangerous. There are spikes or rocks located on the bottom lining of the pool. The employees are rude. The room smell of smoke.

The Clarion Hotel has been completly renovated and decorated beautifully. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable and every bed has 4 to 5 pillows on them. The staff tells me that this is a new requirement by the Choice Hotels Company and the Clarion is affiliated with Choice Hotels. Staff was very friendly. There are restaurants located next door to the hotel and at least 50 at this exit. Very convient to downtown Knoxville and all of the major state routes and all guests get to use the Court South Health Club across the strret from the Clarion at no charge. We will be back. Very nice experience!

I stayed here for one night. The hotel is fine but the owner does not respect his guests. An employee went into my room and stole my wallet and cell phone. After a lot of searching and questions the wallet was "found" outside in the parking lot. The owner refused to take responsibility, offer any sort of apology, or allow me to see the video cameras which would have cleared up the whole mess. Instead, he left in the middle of the dispute and said I should be more careful. Well I will be very careful never to deal with him again. P.S. Another couple had a motorcycle stolen out of the parking lot and was dealing with the hotel staff at the same time. They offered no help in looking at the cameras pointed at the area for that either.

I can not believe any one would say this hotel was clean. I am very disappointed in this hotel. Upon arrival we found cigarette burns in the bed spread, holes in the sheets, someone else's hair on the towels, and I can't even describe what we found on the pillow when we turned the bed down. When we went to the front desk with our complaints, they just gave us new towels and a new pillow and said "I'm sorry, we have had a problem with staff" We only have three maids to clean all these rooms" (5 story hotel!)We also had to deal with rude teenagers all afternoon and night, they were all over the hallways, in the lobby, everywhere! We didn't find out until we had all our complaints that it was the Junior Olympics that were in town and there was no other hotel in the city that wasn't booked. We were just lucky enough to get the last one. Weren't we lucky?
