A very good Experience!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/27/06
I have stayed 3 days and nights at the Travellers Hotel. It was a wonderful and exciting place to stay. Very comfortable. It has recently been purchased by a gentleman that has refurnised all the rooms into various themes. Very well done. The comp breakfast that we had each day was great along with free happy hour.

It is Unique
By B, 04/24/06
What you really will remember is , the charm of each room. With any hotel room its just a room, here its goin to another time and place . How about wanting to visit another country ? Or how about going back to a happy place ? Remember your old grandmothers sewing room ? How about bein with grandpa down on the farm ? Its all here at Travelers Square ! I have been there 2x , and ya know its not that we stayed in juust another hotel , its Wow ! Remember when we stayed in the Great Physcians room, or in Ol Paris ? Yes its that type of getaway that renews the vigor and relaxes you , it is a mini getaway from the ratrace . Now I will have to say I did expect more from breakfast , its not what I would expect from a B&B . However the charm and memories are worth more than a breakfast to stop me from goin to to visit Travelers Square

Wonderful surprise!
By DonnaK, 03/26/06
This was a pleasant surprise. I was attending a conference in Kirksville with some colleagues. Each of us had our own room, and each was totally unique -- from a California style mission, to a 1920s Jazz room, to a room with a world map on the ceiling. Tastefully decorated, and extremely comfortable. I had no idea what the cost of the room would be, and when I checked out, I received another surprise. $59.00 for the best hotel bed I've ever slept in, and I've done a lot of traveling.

Met my high expectations!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/20/05
I never like to stay at chain hotels/motels... and I was visiting a friend in the area. I tried to find an elegant and nice place to stay... and this was the only one that I found. I saw the advertisements on the net.... and they looked great. I have to say that my stay was absolutely wonderful. The service was VERY friendly and I felt that I was treated with great dignity. It's proximity to all the little shops is perfect ... not to mention the movie theater... and there is some very good dining at the Pub just across the street. EXCELLENT beyond my words to describe it. I guess the only thing that was lacking was someone to enjoy it with me. Yes, I'm one of those miserable people who love to stay at the best places... but don't have anyone with whom to share my joy. Such is life, isn't it? Needless to say, I really DID enjoy my stay very much. If one must be lonely and miserable... may as well be pampered at the same time, eh?

We liked it's location which was on the town square. The breakfast was very good and the service was friendly.
