Golfing vacation
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/4/10
Eight friends and neighbors had the opportunity to stay at the Gull Lake Inn several weeks ago. Bill and Maryellen couldnt have been nicer. The rooms were clean, the service was excellent and we especially enjoyed the Hall to have our "Happy Hour" and then off to dinner. Would definitely come back

We'll be back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/1/10
Outstanding Getaway! Bill and Mary were the greatest. The open and friendly clubhouse with the continental breakfast was a nice surprise. Impressed with the very clean rooms. The convenience of beauiful courses right at your door, nightlife with dancing in walking distance, great food and wonderful surroundings made it an experience we'll aways remember. We can't wait to return. Chris and Cindy

Wonderful place run by great people!
By Greg, 7/3/10
Likes-Hot tub rooms available with cable TV, internet, fridge, grill, etc. Family owned and these are some of the nicest people! Beautiful flowers on the property compliment a great location on the golf course; right across from Gull Lake offering hiking, dining, swimming, fishing, birding and many attractions within walking distance. These folks were so helpful in discovering additional attractions in the area. The site is well lit and safe, having 24/7 staff available if needed. Dislikes-None, other than a couple negative reviews online. The lights outside the room can obviously attract flying insects at night which can gain access when the door is opened. I prefer the well lit entrance and parking lot over the alternative. Overall=This place is wonderful! Our family can't wait to return! one of the best kept secrets in SW Michigan!

Return visit
By WilliamW, 5/10/10
Can't wait to come back. I read a neg, review and they could not be talking about the Gull Lake Inn. Bill and Mary the owners , run a very clean place and have always taken good care of us. We can't wait to return and we love the new clubhouse . Great get-a-way *****

Rooms need updating...poor value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/30/09
5 families attended a horse show near by and we all stayed at the Gull Lake Inn. The lodgings were terrible. Our room 102 had no cover plate over the light switch in the bathroom, exposing wires inside. The drywall between the air conditioner and door is crumbling and an area of 2'X2' is exposed beneath. There is evidence of insect infestation in the bathroom around the floor vent and bath tub. The man who works night shift (name starts with an L) barged into our room at 11:30 pm, then into our friend's room immediately after, scaring us half to death. There is no pool or whirlpool like the website shows. The owners are nice and the grounds beautiful, but the rooms are a dump and not worth the $89 per night we paid. We were not compensated for our fright........USE deadbolts!!!

Lots of Money for LESS!
By Ronald, 9/14/09
It was very disorganized, staff didn't have answeres to questions. Rooms were dirty. If you used hot water in sink you had to find sweet spot to turn it off. Shower liner had mold and mildew on it.No pool,no sauna. General overall apperance was not what it should be for the price. I don't care how nice the golf courses were Gull Lake Inn isn't a place I would recomend to anyone else to stay at. Management should be ashamed for accepting anything less than they have from staff. Highway rip Off!!!!!!!!!

There were bugs!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/1/09
The place was very nice looking. If you are into golf it was the perfect spot. We stayed there for three nights for a business conference. On the second day I discovered bites on my hands, legs, and feet from bed bugs! Be warned!

Friendly staff, but needs cleaning
By CustomCanton, 9/3/08
We liked the friendly staff, but the rooms were very dirty, with cobwebs leading from the lamp to the ceiling and we found someone's hairclip in our bed. Carpet is so old that it is almost greasy to the touch. There is not a pool or hot tub anymore. Pricey for a Motel at over $130 per night.

Low Key Golf Lodge
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/19/08
Great location and access / tie in to local golf courses. Great Package pricing. Good staff that is very low key-they let you be you, which is what a vacation is all about. Good horse shoe pits and refreshing pool. GREAT VALUE when combined with golf package. Our group has been 10 years running and would not think of switching hotels when we are in town.
