Lighthouse View Motel, Mackinaw City

It was affordable, great pool and location is amazing! We went down to the bridge every night to see the lights. LOVED it! Going back this year:)

Paid $68.00 per night on July 25 & 26th, with wife and 2 kids (4 & 7). Great clean inexpensive motel. Located right across the street from the Old Mackinaw Point Lighthouse and State Park. Beer store and ice cream right across the street (did not go there - had own beverages) Stayed on a ground level 2 queen bed. VERY clean rooms. Stayed in room 107 which was designed to be a handicap room. Bathroom has additional space where we put all our luggage to unclutter the room. Great pool and Spa, both indoor. Pool went to 8 foot deep, and Spa was 3 foot deep with lots of space to stretch out in. Kids had a blast in the pool, as it was very big and alot of room to move in. Only problem with us being in a ground level room was that the first quarter of our room was the walkway for the above rooms. So alot of foot traffic until about 1030, but then fell asleep rather quickly. AIr conditioner worked great. No problems with shower or bath. No micro or fridge in room, but had an ice maker in the courtyard. Hairdryer included along with coffee maker. Wife said the hairdryer was too small to dry her hair quick enough. Did not use coffee maker. Staff were great and cleaned our room while at Mackinaw Island. Only about 5 blocks from Mackinaw Crossings, although we choose to drive. No complaints...this may be our new home for our Mackinaw City yearly trips!!

This place was clean, comfortable and people were pleasant. Enjoyed our stay. Will definitely stay here again.

I checked prices at several of the other hotels in Mackinaw City and found Lighthouse View Motel to be among if not the cheapest. I'm so glad we stayed there. The rooms were very clean. For the money you can't go wrong staying here. You have a wonderful view of the Bridge and there is a lighthouse right across the street. The owners were very nice and very helpful too. I highly recommend staying here.

This was the best get-a-way ever! We checked with several other motels in the area to compare rates and the Lighthouse View Motel had the best by far. The service was very friendly and informative about the area hapenings and best places to eat. The smoked fish(chub) and pasties were delicious! The room was immaculate and cozy. The motel was perfectly located across from the bridge and park with shopping very close by. We enjoyed our evening meal and glass of wine at one of the tables in front of the motel, as the lights from the mackinaw bridge began to sparkle! The value was EXCELLENT! (We almost didn't want to write in a review because we wanted to keep this our little secret.)

We were there in early fall as the weather got colder, so no as busy. The rates due to the off season of the other hotels in the area were still quite high, but the rates at this hotel were much cheaper! The rooms were clean and comfortable and the pool and hot tub were clean as well. Wonderful view of the bridge and easy access to the highway!

Very nice rooms and very clean. Perfect amount of space- we were alittle worried about that before getting there because we had 4 adults in one room. The beds are a little on the firmer side but we all still slept great. Pool and hot tub area was also very nice and relaxing for the few minutes we had time to spend there. Nice location right across from the lighthouse and the bridge. Which makes for a nice short walk during the day and at night. Not to far from the downtown area about 4 blocks- a nice easy walk. Front desk people were very friendly and helpful. Very reasonably prices especially for a weekend. We were very pleased with our stay and will stay there again the next time we visit this beautiful area!!!

We stayed at the Lighthouse View recently and we were very pleased with the room we had. It was spacious and extremely clean. They allowed us to bring our boxer. We have stayed at many motels in Mackinaw City and were very pleased with our room. The parking is a little tight, and hot water in the shower does tend to fluctutate. The motel is right across from the Old Mackinac lighthouse and park, a perfect walk across the street and we spent many hours there.

We stayed three nights at this hotel. Very noisy...At 10:30 each night the pool closed and the people/kids staying above us sounded like herding elephants. It was like we were bunked below the bridge with the cars thundering overhead. Also....shower early!!!!! NO HOT WATER later in the a.m. Talked to manager and he said the noise would settle down in a few minutes (more like 40 minutes) and he said we would have hot water in a few minutes. Wrong..we waited an hour and still no hot water. Won't be staying there again.

the best family own motel in mackinaw my family was going to rainbow ,water front for years now they stay here very freindly service very clean pool nice all around place to stay always helpful was great place to stay last year for firework for 50th anniversary of the bridge
