BEWARE!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/25/08
Arriving from a 2000-mile trip we got to the motel around 9:30 pm. The room smelled sooooo bad that we sprayed perfume hoping to mask it because we were too tired to go look for another place to stay. After unpacking, we started noticing dirt on the doors, the bathroom walls, around the switchplates. There were three of us but there were only 2 towels, 2 washcloths, 2 hand towels, one teeny, tiny bar of soap and a purse-size package of tissues! Their brochure bragged about pillow-top mattresses and fluffy pillows. The mattresses didn't feel like what they claimed and there were only two little pillows for each FULL-SIZED bed. (not even QUEEN) There was no coffee maker or any other amenities or niceties that most motels and hotels have. This room was horrible! When I complained to the desk person as I was leaving, her unbusinesslike, unfriendly attitude was that she couldn't care less that we were unhappy with the room. BEWARE and stay here at your own risk! (And if there are absolutely no other places to stay at in the whole Lafayette/West Lafayette area)

Horrible, Dirty Hotel
By Tracy, 3/24/08
We traveled from AZ and rented two rooms there this weekend. Each room stunk badly. There was dirt on the walls and door, which made me think if they don't clean obvious dirt, did they really wash the sheets? I'm not a real neat freak, but I actually couldn't sleep the whole night because I was so creeped out by the dirt. And the loud noise of the heater when it kicked on. The next day I had a funeral to attend so it made for a pretty bad experience. When I told the front desk clerk about how dirty it was she just nonchalantly said "Okay." The next night we went to the Mariott Fairfield Inn across the street, which was spotless and beautiful. Pay a few bucks more and get a clean room!

They charge for wireless internet
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/12/08
The room was clean and comfortable. I thought it was a great price until I found out that wireless Internet cost an additional 10.00 per day. Excellent value if you don't need Internet access.

Did what we wanted
By Robert, 6/8/07
My wife and I stayed at the red roof in for an evening last may. What we wanted was a room that was clean, had hot water and cold air. The room was clean, we did have hot water, but the air was only cool. But for the price we paid it was good.
