Baymont Inn & Suites Mobile, Mobile

The hotel room was very damp. I thought the sheets felt that way because it was freezing cold when we arrived which was 3AM but discovered that was not the case when I woke up. The sheets and covers were damp as well as the chairs and floor. There were leak stains in the ceiling and there was mold/mildew. I called the front desk to request more towels and was told it would take 30 mins or maybe an hour and a half. I just walked around to the front desk and got the towels myself. The breakfast encounter was awful. I walked into the lobby and was greated with raindrops on my head. The lobby was leaking and it was just horrible. They offered some hard boiled eggs in a cold bowl of water and some funky looking pastries. I decided to eat cereal and as I was trying to get the milk I was once again greeted with raindrops on my head and in my milk now who wants that? I am not happy with this place at all and would never stay there again. I would have preferred to have slept in my car and then wash up in a gas station bathroom before staying at this place.

I recommend staying away from this motel! The carpet and bedspread was filthy! The room smelled musty. The bathroom was dirty and disgusting (tub was gross, toilet tank lid was made from a ceiling tile, black mold looking substance around edges of floor). Toilet was clogged and had to call for maintenance. The front door kept jamming and being stuck - had to call for maintenance just to get out of the room. Front desk service was terrible. We needed replacement and/or additional towels but was told they couldn't help because of no access to any housekeeping. Also, couldn't get any extra blankets or pillows. Complimentary breakfast was a joke! cheap doughnuts and coffee-woohoo. There was absolutely nothing about this motel that I liked!

Worst motel I have stayed at in a long time. There are bugs and roaches in room, a/c in room doesn't work, the tv reception is fuzzy and to top it off, you walk outside and see the trash at the Family Inn hanging out on balcony looking at you and your family. There is no security at this dump either. The breakfast sucks and you can barely understand the clerk at desk. I will never stay here again and hope you take this post serious if you're thinking about staying here!!

I had a very bad experience. I checked in at 6 pm., and left early at 1 am. There were several technical problems that made my stay a very unpleasant one. The problems varied from roaches on the night stand, to bad plumbing, and finally, when trying to turn on the heater to make the roomy a little warmer the room smelled of something being burnt, and the fire detector sounded. I informed the GM of all the problems I experienced, only to be mistreated. He offered no refund for my $70 King suite, or even a courtesy invitation for an additional stay. I finally sought assistance with the Health Department of Alabama.

WE WERE WELCOMED WITH A FRIENDLY & SMILING FACE, EVERYTHING WAS VERY CLEAN AND EVERYONE WAS VERY HELPFUL, OUR BED SLEPT GREAT WISH I HAD LOOKED TO SEE WHAT KIND OF MATRESS, WOULD LIKE TO HAVE ONE MYSELF. OUR ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN THE ROOM WAS COOLED WHEN WE ENTERED, THAT IS A PLUS. THE PRICE WAS GREAT !!!!!!!!!! WHEN WE ARE BACK IN MOBILE THIS IS WHERE WE WILL STAY. THE POOL WAS VERY NICE & CLEAN. EVERYTHING WAS VERY QUITE AND HAD NO TROUBLE SLEEPING. I AM A VERY PICKY PERSON ABOUT WHERE I STAY AND THIS IS ONE WHERE I WILL STAY AGAIN. VERY GOOD LOCATION.

The place was in shambles since the last time I was there. There was mold on the shower curtain. I took a shower and walked from the bathroom to the bed and the bottoms of my feet were covered in dirt. The housekeeper tried to come in the room twice after I answered for her not to. She knocked and immediately tried to open the door. There were no do not disturb signs. The assistant manager was dirty wearing the same clothes a least two days in a row and rude. When I tried to talk to him about the room he told me that all we had been doing was complaining since we arrived and he didn't have to listen to us and he went in the office and sat down. The only other time we had been to the front desk or talked to anyone was to find out why our key didn't work after we went shopping and to find out the pool and continental breakfast hours. The breakfast consisted of bagels and cold cereal sans milk.

Dates of stay --(7/3/07 - 7/4/07) When we arrived at the Inn I went to the check in counter and gave my name and confirmation number I recieved over the phone and the attendent said it was not in the computer. I checked in anyway and we went to our room and it smelled musty and the kids said the carpet felt wet. I looked around and the carpet was old and bowed up in places. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. We had NO hot water the first night and we had trouble with the door locking when we would go out, it would take about a minute and a half to engage the lock. We got up the next morning and went up front to get breakfast and NO hot food, all they had was bagels donuts and cold cereal. We left and went about our plans for the day. When we returned our 9 y/o boy goes and opens the door to our room W/O a key card!! We checked our belongings and everything was ok, we had NO clean towels or no towels period. I reported it to the front desk and they brought us some towels and sent the maintnance man to the room. He said he would fix it the next day, that the batteries were dead, but did offer us the option to switch rooms. Best part of our stay at this hotel was the pool, the kids loved it...

Let me begin by saying I am not extremely picky about where I stay. We checked in and everything was fine. The only bad thing about the room were the mattresses. I can handle that because the room was cheap. When we checked in, they had a list of what they served for breakfast hanging up. The next morning when we went down to eat they didn't have any of the fruit, or sausage and biscuits that they claimed to have had. We just decided to eat cereal and toast there to keep from going out. We were sitting down to eat when my sister-in-law noticed her skim milk. It was served from a metal container with 2 different kinds of milk. It was collabered.(spelling?) I went up to the desk and he said "Oh yeah I need to change that." I couldn't believe that he acted like it was no big deal. I watched him and he went outside and dumped it, came back in and put the container back in place. It doesn't matter if the hotel is new or old, it can still be kept clean. We dumped the rest of the food out. I just wanted to post this so others would know.

smelled smokey in lobby. damp & musty in room. floor sticky. breakfast limited (only sausage biscuits, fruit, & cereal). highly disappointed. front desk person nonchalant. i will never go again.

We requested to be downstairs and they put us upstairs. The mattresses were hard and the blanket on my bed was sticky and dirty. We did not get a good night's sleep. They refused to give a discount or refund.
