Waikiki Village Motel, Myrtle Beach

Great family place, rates very reasonable, friendly staff, can't be beat. Across the street from the beach, great location. One of the last "Mom and Pop" not a giant chain.

I found this to be a very cozy place, the people are wonderful and for the money you can't beat it anywhere. We were looking for a cheap place to stay, close to the ocean,family oriented, so that we could walk to most places and that is what we got. We walked mostly everywhere and could see the ocean from our balcony. I am very please to have found such a great kept secret.

We were going to pick my son up from Parris Island after graduating from Marines boot camp and decided since we were only 3 hrs from Myrtle Beach and had never been there we would go. After reading literally hundreds of reviews online this hotel seemed to be the best for the money. IT IS! We were only able to spend 2 nights here but it is great. We cant wait to go back now and stay for a week. If you read all of the reviews they are very accurate. Friendly, clean, short walk to beach. Our room had a kitchen. Large patio area with gas grills...we had a cookout and not one bug bothered us. You cant go wrong here. I want to tell everyone who had bad experiences at other hotels about this place. It is not new and fancy but clean, pleasant and I just have no complaints or anything bad to say about it. Kitchens were equipped with everything your kitchen at home has and includes a sofa sleeper and large TV. It was definately a great way to spend a couple of quality days with our family all together after my son becoming a Marine. Thank you Waikiki!! Clean and reasonable price. Good location easy access to the beach.

We looked on the Internet for places to stay, on our vacation with our two grandchildren, and came across the Waikiki Village Motel, which seemed very affordable and convenient to the beach. Upon arrival, we were certainly amazed at the clean and comfortable rooms, not to mention the hospitality and friendliness of the staff. Our room had a refrigerator, microwave, and, believe it or not, an iron and ironing board. Boy, was I surprised!!! The rooms were beyond what I had imagined, since they were very clean and fresh-smelling, with fresh linens and towels every day, plus, a view of the pool and hot tub, as well as Ocean Blvd, from the balcony. Our four day stay was excellent, and we plan on staying there on our next visit to MB. If cleanliness, comfort, and quietness is what you are looking for, Waikiki Village Motel is THE place to be! The staff and maid service personnel went out of their way to provide a friendly, family atmosphere. Many thanks to them for making our visit soooo enjoyable.

We have a family reunion every year in Myrtle Beach, we usually stay in one of the more popular resorts, but this year we were tight on money and decided to give Waikiki Village a try. It is definitely old, but kept very clean - in fact, easily cleaner than the resort we usually stay at when paying more than $200 a night. Of course being an older facility, it is missing some of the nicer amenities you get from one of the large resorts - no wireless or interent connection in the room (access in the lobby) no lazy river, but the pool they do have is not bad. It was crowded one day, but for the most part we had it to ourselves. You have to walk across the street to the beach, which can be frustrating when traffice is busy, but we went early in the morning and it wasn't so bad. It is conveniently located and easy to get to and from. Staff was very friendly and I loved the lobby decor - very family friendly! They have books you can read and a puzzle that all can work on, donuts, pastries and coffee was available in the lobby every morning. This place is NOT for singles - they are extremely family oriented and will let you know!

My family and i have been going to this hotel for 5 years now and we loved t every time. ITs is just across the street from the beach, the staff is amazing. We have made many long lasting friendships over the years and we will be continuing our trip to Myrtle Beach with this wonderful hotel.

We've stayed here twice now, in June 2007 & July 2006. It's an older small motel. The rooms are pretty spacious, & although dated, they are kept clean & in good repair. The staff was hospitable, & they responded very quickly if something needed to be fixed. The pool is large & the water clean. This place is for families & couples, so if you will be a mob of loud & obnoxious rowdies you'll need to to stay elsewhere. This is one of the few remaining small, economical Mom & Pop motels in the Grand Stand area, which unfortunately are quickly being displaced by high-end hotels, resorts, condos, & timeshare properties. The oft-repeated adage on these travel sites is that you get what you pay for. In this case, you get a lot more. It's a comfortable place to stay for a family on a budget. It's in a good location, convenient to the atttractions. It is across the street from the beach as opposed to right on it, & unfortunately The Landmark Resort now blocks you view of the ocean from the motel.

Next week will be my family's 25 straight year staying at Waikiki Village. We absolutely love it. Nancy and the staff are great. Rooms right next to the pool and you don't have to fight an elevator everytime you want to go to the room. Have met many great friends over the past years. Now there are anywhere from 30 to 60 Kentucky and Ohio friends that come together each year. Can't wait til next week.

My family have stayed several different places over the years visiting Myrtle Beach. This is by far the nicest and friendliest. The atmosphere and location is perfect with small children. My family and I stayed here for the first time last May. We are already planning our vacation to return in June. My family has finally found a family, friendly, oriented home away from home for our family. We will be back. Thank you for everything. God Bless.
