Great value and location!

10 minutes from downtown Charleston. Quiet location and I felt safe. Checked in under two minutes. Flawless! While I did not eat at any of the local restaurants in Mt. Pleasant, there were many to pick from. That's one of the reasons I stayed there. My room was very clean. Bathroom was spotless. (Great job, Anna) It was a non-smoking room but i could slightly smell smoke from other rooms. Not a deal killer, just something I noticed. No coffee maker in room but no big deal. If it was provide, the coffee would have been sub-par motel room coffee. Starbucks is located within 200 yards. For the price and location; Awesome value!!!!!!!!!

I stayed in red roofs before in ga was ok , BUT in mt pleasnt SC the hotel workers were great , but me and my friend stayed there tues thru friday we left early , the rooms were not fit to sit two people only one chair NO table to eat or just realax .the pool was needing a cleaning , beds wore out ,,there were contractors staying there doors open and they look out at u made us unconfort, me n my friend thought we were at a truck stop ? HOTEL WOW we left early we lost money leaving early . dont go there

Acceptable - Can use some work

Needed place to stay for 2 days, room was acceptable. I would recommend for those visiting and needing to stay on a budget. Staff was very helpful and cordial. Rooms probably could benefit from better quality of pillow, and needs extra blankets in room. Rooms could also benefit from more visits by maintainence, as sink drain was very slow, and cover for air conditioner / heater was broken off.

Going down fast

I used to stay here every time I went to Charleston. (about once a month) It was redone a few years ago and was very nice for the price. However each time since it's gotten worse. This last time was...well the LAST time. The room was nasty. I actually went to Walmart and bought my own sheets and pillow cases. I was lucky enough to have a blanket in the car and used it. The ones on the bed had an odor. There were cigarette burns on the toilet, counter and tub. There was trash still in the can, as well as crude on the showerwalls. What a shame, this place used to be nice. I will say the girl at the desk tried her best but you can't make chicken salad outta chicken poop.

The beds were hard, the pillows flat and there were no extra pillows in the hotel. We had to ask several times for extra towels. The clean towels were taken away the second day and we had to ask again. The people in the room over us woke us, and several other guests, at four a.m. ; the desk clerk did nothing in spite of repeated phone calls. The bathroom had mold in the corner and the toilet ran. The coffee in the lobby was weak..

First stay was better. Price stiffened. Service not good. Asked for room out of the way to avoid noise. Though few guests, manager bunched guests together. Many patrons loud into the night. Thin walls.

We would stay again

This hotel was pretty awesome in our opinion. It was way undervalued for the area at 57.00 per night and less than 10 minutes from the Historic district. We decided to join their frequent guest program because the value was beyond our expectation. They even allow pets with no extra charge. The down side...No in room coffee maker, hair dryer, fridge, ironing board, or other frills like that. Just a room and a TV. But, it is a clean safe place to stay. It looks freshly renovated and should stay in good shape for years to come. (written winter 2008)

Nice location and newly renovated rooms. If you want a great value and don't mind not having any amenities, this is a great place to go! We went here because we wanted to go to Isle of Palms, Folly Beach and Charleston...all in a 15 minute radius!

Very nice

This is a very nice hotel. Very clean, well run, and relatively inexpensive compared to other nearby hotels. Didn't like having to pay for parking, but would definitely stay there again.
