The Inn at Little Washington, Washington

This place is excellent in every way except its location. Unless you want to drive a long way into the countryside, it would have been nice if this place was in a more scenic area. Besides that, the excellent service greeted you once you parked your car. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Be prepared to spend at least $100 per person. It is definitely the place for a special occasion.

While staying in the Mayor's House, I tripped on a poorly lighted and unmarked step from the bedroom to the next level. I suffered extensive hemotoma and was most uncomfortable for the rest of the evening. The management compensated for my injuries with a reduced-price rate for our next stay at the Inn. The food was delicious and service impeccable, although I've eaten as well at other top restaurants in and around the District without having to endure the long drive to Little Washington.
