Golden Sands Motel, Virginia Beach

The staff was very nice! Every day they cleaned our room very well. It was right near the beach and we had a good time! I would stay here again!

If you are looking for a homey place to stay and be treated like you are a person instead of a room number this is the place to stay. We have been staying here for 18 years. We feel like family. The rooms do need a little updating but who stays in the room when your at the beach. As long as the room is clean, fresh towel each day and a happy smile when you go to the front desk. What more do you want! Yes, we will be going again this year...

Very nasty people and the rooms aredirty and have roaches.....sheets and toilets weredirtyaswell...

My husband and I love this motel. Each and everytime we are on vacation we chose this motel. We always get our same kichenette room. Not because it's the fanciest motel on the block. But it's the best service around. I mean it's like our home away from home. We cook go shopping, go out to eat. The lady @ the desk is superb ! She expects us every year , and when things go our way we make sure we are there ! We love it . We probably will keep getting the same room at that same motel for a very long time. Hey , it's our spot !! Plus the price is right . Going in june 2009

saw 2 roaches in my room thye refused to refund money will never go back there again

My husband & I went to Va Beach for my birthday/Mothers day. We usually stay at the Surfside Inn. but with money the way it is now adays, we tried the Golden Sands Motel. We loved it! the very nice lady at the desk gave us the room on the 3rd floor, at the end. Our room looked right out to the ocean. Everythings was so nice. We have been back to the Surfside when my son come in from Iraq. We will never stay there again. They were rude and they could leave a lot from the employes at the Golden Sands Inn. they are my favorite hotel. We are going back this month, hopfully and get the same room.

I could have cried. It's a dump. Nice people, great location. But needs so much work!! If I hadn't prepaid, I would have gone right across the street where rates were just a little higher and so much nicer!!!

Wonderful family place!! Very nice people behind the front desk!! Reasonable rates, CLEAN rooms and Outdoor Pool!! They truly made our family vacation a wonderful memory.

We were booked with this motel for a cheerleading competition and upon arival found that the pool had no water and the rooms smelled of mildew and cigarette smoke. I would never recommend this place to anyone!! We left and stayed somewhere else and the owners were very rude when we told them we were leaving yet they were overly polite upon arival and would not refund any of our money. They obviously don't care about their reputation or they would have tried to work out something for us. I don't know where all these other people were who gave great reviews!!
