Love to go there about twice a year.
By ,
We love the hospitality. First time up there was about 25 years ago, try to go there at least 1 time a year. We love every thing about the Jarret house. Wonderfull resturant, I told them if I staid there a week I would gain 10 Lbs. The mountains around there are beautiful. Just a great get away.

ENCHANTING - LIKE GOING BACK IN TIME
By ,
Wonderful atmosphere, quaint rooms and great food. We spent 2 nights at Jarrett House and it was like going back in history to a more gentle and gracious time. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back often.

Good food at the Jarrett House
By ,
The Jarrett House restaurant has great fried chicken. Also, the other items on the menu are very good. I think that this is one of the best restaurants in the area. We eat at the Jarrett House every time we visit the Dillsboro area, though I dont think that we would stay here because the hotel is very old.

Gotta have that fried catfish again...
By ,
As we travel from central SC we have stayed in or visited the Jarrett House for the past several years when around the area. Last trip we included the Great Smokey Mountain Train ride and just really loved every moment. Nice to come back to a warm cozy B&B on a late cool evening. Also, the family style serving of great meals reminds me of times around my parents / grandparents table. The catfish is excellent and the chicken dumplings were a close second. Do you and yours a favor...visit the Jarrett House and "see what I'm talk'n 'bout" !!!

Best quiet get-a-way week end ever!!
By ,
The peace and quiet and beautiful scenery was unsurpassed. As were the wonderful breakfast smells when I awoke very early. Informed that breakfast would not be served for quite a while (I said "very early"), I asked for coffee. The desk person said, "I will bring it to you." Very shortly, he was at my door with a pot of coffee. (You just do not find that type of service anywhere any more!) I enjoyed the beauty of the sun rising over the mountain while sitting on the upper deck having my coffee. I read a negative review while browsing this morning. Is that person sure he had the same "Jarrett House"? I definitely plan on returning. By the way; the food was, phenomenal! Mary

Just a very old Hotel
By ,
The rooms are very "Musty" and may even have some mold problems. The room that had been reserved for us was very unacceptable. We ended up in one of the newer (but still old) Court Yard Cottages. This room had holes in the wall where a mirror was removed and replaced by a much smaller one. The lighting was very poor. No vanity in the bathroom and not even a lid on the toilet seat to place stuff. No table for writing or other activities. This is about a $20.00 room at most and not a $100 room. I highly recommend that you stay some where else!

Exceptional place with Exceptional people
By ,
My family and I live here in the mountains of Western North Carolina. We have been going to the Jarrett House just to have dinner for years and years. As a matter of fact we spent our honeymoon there.I cannot think of any other place I would want to visit if I were traveling through the area and wished for a meal and a decent price where one could sit down and eat around the table as one should with the family. I find it difficult to believe that the Jarrett House would lose reservations for a whole party considering their reputation. It makes me wonder if they were even made. They carry the highest ratings as far as Bed and Breakfasts go in this area. They are also Tops with people around here and number 1 in my book.
