Royal Inn Hotel Resort, Royal Palm Beach

I finally stayed here recently while visiting family in the area. I am 43, was born and raised less than a mile from the place, and for those of us who grew up in Royal Palm and Wellington in the 70s and 80s, The Inn was the only sit down restaurant and hotel for many miles. While the western communities now have no shortage of restaurants, there are still only a few hotels so the Royal Inn is still relevant and a great value if you are just looking for a place to sleep. The pool was once open to the public and was where I learned to swim. It is still in great condition. I didn't visit the on-site restaurant and lounge this time, but they haven't changed much through previous visits and still offer something more original than the nearby chains. In a community where nearly everything is prefabricated and overpriced the Royal Inn offers a touch of tradition and home away from home.

I stayed at this place for 3 weeks what a big mistake. The front desk manager is best friends with the owners wife so no use in complaining. The staff is rude uneducated and they dont give a damn. The airconditioner in my room did not work. they made me change rooms three times. the ice machine is far from everything and inconvienent There is mold. I was in the office and a guest had gotten bed bugs and was in bad shape. The manager denied that they were bed bugs when you could clearly see the situation. The staff talks about all of the guests and they are not helpful when u need something. Nasty Nasty place to stay. Better to spend a bit more money for a quality night sleep. The people that routinely stay there are very dirty construction workers that look nasty. The place is a dump period.

This place is RIDICULOUS! On May 28th 2009 at approximately 11p.m. I called and made a reservation - it was pretty late at night. The staff that took the reservation seemed nice enough. To my surprise, the following day someone went on a shopping spree on me! I'm convinced it was someone from this place - I hadn't used my card since I made the reservation and all of a suddenn, the folloing day there's approximtely $500 worth of unauthorized charges on my account! The nerve! Needless to say, I cancelled my reservation and will NEVER stay there if it's the last place on earth!

booked room at royal inn, asked for 1st floor when i got there they had only 2nd floor. finally got into room went to dinner came back to room turned on kitchen light and the whole room was infested with roaches. crawling on walls, counters, on the phone and on the bed. i had a 16 mo old baby with us it was gross. called down to office and they offered us another room it was in the back, down a darkwalk way , we checked out the room and found the tv and light on and the room dirty. left there awd went back to office by now its 1:30am. i told the girl at desk we were leaving and wanted our money back, she said the took the card information but did not process the card, she lied, now i have to wait 8 to 10 days to contest the charge. i recommend that no one book this inn. the place is disgusting and a big rip off. they should be put out of business. i also reported them to the health department.

it was a dump with very shady characters around would not recommend to anyone .rooms very dirty with smell of mould

Great little hotel, great experience, nice rooms, good rates, clean rooms. would recommend this hotel to any one. Dont just let a few disgruntled people influence your decision.

If you stay in the new section everything is clean and fresh. It is basically a place to sleep, use a pool and nothing else but it is close to a ton of shopping and not too far away from the airport and downtown West Palm Beach. Stay there and use to money you save to eat in a better restaurant or do more sightseeing.

This place is the worse place. It is dirty and has rude front desk help. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There is no service at this hotel. The carpet is filthy, furnitrue is in need of replacing etc. The area around this hotel is nice, many things to do with or without the family.
