A Prince of Wales Motel, Lake Wales

Owners of property wonderful people, they were very helpful and catered to my every need. LOVE the Plasma Tv in the room.. the AC was awesome.. didn't give that nasty smell.. the microwave and mini fridge very, very clean.. spotless shower... I call this place... home when I am away from home.. I live far from work and work odd hours.. so when im just to tired I crash there.. I feel safe ... Its just great!

This tiny little place is just darling! We stayed for a week last year, and will be back again this year. The rooms are small and the facilities are old, but very clean and nicely remodelled. They did a great job upgrading the old facility, and the price was unbeatable. We greatly appreciated that each room had a small frig, a microwave, and a coffeemaker. The owners (who live on site) are gracious, charming, and extremely accommodating. The cleaning staff was respectful and honest (The maid wouldn't take the tip I left for her until she confirmed that, in fact, it was meant for her.) Overall, it was a very enjoyable and memorable stay in a charming facility.

I liked the value for the room (I had an efficiency) and the fact that the owners were very friendly and were most helpful in items I needed. It is near downtown and not too far from Bok Tower. The hotel is older and some items in the room, such as the bedspreads and carpet, need updating. It is also right on the highway (SR 17) and fairly underneath SR60 overpass. I could hear(and sometimes feel) the traffic in my room, particularly at night. Otherwise, I had a nice stay--thank you.

We found this a vevy nice place to stay while in the Lake Wales area.It has been totally remodeled and is very close to all the sites like Spook Hill,Bok Tower,and down town depot historic sites.The owners are from England and are very friendly.For a great time while in Lake Wales stop here.We found them on Yahoo Travel at Prince of wales motel.

Like a diamond in the rough, the special aspect of this quaint little old cottage place is not obvious at first glance. The folks who own/operate the cottages are from Wales England. They are proud of their place, and have a right to be. The cottages must be 40 or more years old and are small, but they have been individually re-done...each one unique. The decore is very very well done. If you are searching for value with quality, stop here. You won't be disappointed.
