Mountain View Inn, Lake Placid

I would recommend to everyone. vic and carol has given the mountain view inn that home away from home touch. the rooms are well maintained. there staff are more than accomadating. For my self, Im agraduate of Paul Smiths college. I visit Lake Placid as much as I can And the only place I will stay is at the mountain view inn.

Very close to the shops, restaurant across the street,10 minute walk to a micro brewery & pub nice place for supper. Was upstairs very quite at night, nice view of the lake, room was warm, clean, with color tv, free coffee in room, very polite people, price reasonable for location.I cannot think of any dislikes.

Location was great. Could walk to shops and a multitude of restaurants. Our lower level room was clean and smelled great. Would like to have been able to open window for fresh air during the night. Fresh coffee in the am just doors away was helpfull. The only drawback was the noise in the wee hours from those passing by on the street below as the bars let out.
