Welcome home!
By Jay, 11/11/07
This is a great place to stay if you are heading to Vermont. Level of service is excellent. Breakfast was great! Wish we could stay a week there. They offer great conversation or total privacy. You decide. We sat by the fire, and talked with the owners for a good part of the night. Then we went to our room which was very large, clean, and well decorated for a great night sleep. Congratulations to the new new owners and best of luck! You are doing a great job! Thanks for keeping our family tradition alive. See you again soon.

Good Stay
By travel qa, 10/23/06
The location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over the United States and enjoyed visiting with them.

Yearly Guests
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/04/06
My sister and I first started coming to Vermont in the month of September 7 years ago. Since it was important for us to have a fire each night, slowly but surely we moved our trip to the colder months. After our first year the Thatcher Brook was sold to new owners, and we were leary for the next years arrival and what we might run into. We were graciously received by not only John and Lisa, but the great staff as well. Each year before our "adventure to VT" I email John and he picks out a room for the both of us, keeping in mind our needs and wants, (he has never let us down). The Inn is very cozy and warm, they make you feel like family there. Each and every return to the inn we are asked what we did that day and are given new ideas for the next. We did try the Trapp Family lodge one year, due to time share trade, but have decided it wasn't worth giving up the Thatcher Brooke. If for some reason there is anything you are not satisfied with, they will move heavan and earth to make it right. I have been in the Hotel Industry for years, and these people know service!! Keep up the GREAT WORK!!

Home Sweet Home

This wonderful B&B is located close to many attractions. The owners are very helpful and accommodating. The room was decorated nicely. Breakfast was delicious and the coffee was superb. We enjoyed reading on the front porch in rocking chairs.

Ambiance and Hospitality at its best!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/05/04
Thatcher Brook Inn is more than an Inn, it is a home away from home. The beautiful rooms, (some have fireplaces and jacuzzis), are spacious and breakfast is always delicious. We visit frequently, whether we want to ski or just enjoy the fresh air in Vermont. Thatcher Brook offers the best of New England in every season. Thank you for a great getaway! (even though we do bring the kids along!)

thatcher brook inn
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/15/04
Room was mosquito infested and the carpeting smelled unpleasant. Given pillows and toilet accessories for 2, accomidations for our 2 children were overlooked but we were charged for them. Breakfast is from 8 - 9:30 and if you did not make it at that time your free breakfast is forfeited. When the mosquito problem was brougt to the inkeepers attention, we were told, WELCOME TO VERMONT. Paying $140.00 for a standard, off peak room when it is advertised on their site as $80-99 is a rip off and their policy is no cancellations unless they can rent the room to someone else. We left after 1 day and will be contacting our credit card company to dispute payment of the bill. If you want to go to vermont you are better off staying in a tent in the woods rather than visit this inn.
