Gunstock Inn & Fitness Center, Gilford

My husband and myself and alot of family members stayed there for my birthday we had the best of time. the staff there are very friendly and nice very clean the food is awesome i love the onion soup :] i will def stay there again

My young family stayed at this Inn over the holiday and unexpectedly had to extend our stay for New Year's Eve because of bad weather. Well, being snow bound turned out to be a wonderful experience for the entire family. The restaurant on-site offered a buffet and live entertainment (even had a play area set aside for the kids) until the ball dropped. There must have been 75 people, mostly families, all gathered and sharing in the festivities. It was a wonderful night. Thank You Gunstock Inn!

Since 2007 Gunstock Inn & Fitness Center has newly upgraded their fitness center to include expresso fitness bikes, tread mills and complete nautilus equipment. The indoor heated pool has also been upgraded to a chemical free salt water filtration system. The Inn's full service restaurant has a new chef since mid 2008. His tasty fair is reasonably priced and family friendly. The lobby has also received a cozy renovation. Being 1/2 mile from Gunstock Mountain resort makes skiing so easy for the entire family.

We plan on re-booking for 2009-2010 New Years. We got a suite (for the second time) which included my daughter & family, her best friend and son, my 2 grandsons, and my brother and his family. We all had a great time! It's a wonderful and kid-friendly place - we will tell everyone!

I had gone to the Gunstock Inn 2 years ago and wasn't sure if I'd come back, but the views are so beautiful there that I decided to try again. I am so glad I did! Not only has the fitness equipment been replaced with brand new state of the art stuff, but the pool has been renovated and they have switched to salt water filtration. On top of that, the staff was unbelievably accommodating and the new restaurant was great - very family friendly. Not sure what caused the change, but my family and I just became regulars!

I joined as a Gym membership - 140.00 for 3 months. the pool is fantastic - the rest of the place.. might as well burn it down!! Where do I start? The Sauna is rusting, the floor in the sauna is all pulled up, and there is a 5" gap on the bottom of the door that lets all the heat (if that's what you call it!) out - the top temperature in that "Sauna" was 78 degrees and it's NEVER turned on.. a sauna takes a while to heat up - if you have 2 hours to burn while waiting for that luxurious 78 degrees, then you should join!....The steam room is a storage room with boxes in it and doesn't work, although they advertise that they have a steam room. The bathroom area is disgusting with rust all over the vanities and lighting from 1936 - I could live with the yellow 1940's subway tile if I didn't have to take a shower in plain view of the pool area with only a saloon door as the door to the general public. Does it matter than the place runs out of hot water? And for exercise equipment? I do better trying out the products at Sears.. rickety, not good quality.. these people should do one thing WELL.. not to mention that when you walk in - the location is great - the facility - a bomb!

I just saw a review that was the exact opposite of what we found at the inn. We had our family reunion there in July and found the inn to be a wonderful friendly and comfortable place. The new owners were on premises most of the time we were there and couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable. I would hate to have someone read that review and miss out on our experience.

We booked a block of rooms here for a wedding that would be held at Gunstock ski resort just up the street from this in. We toured the hotel 6 months before. The "new" owner walked us around. It wasn't the best but it was very close to were we needed to be. At the time they had a nice pool and we were assured that there would be a restaurant open as it was closed when we toured as it was the "mud" season. When we checked in 6 months later, the pool had been closed, no restaurant, and the owner that toured us around was not to be found. The place was incredibly dirty several rooms smelled of mold and mildew, when you took a shower the water didn't drain, and the people that were working were very very rude. We paid 160 a night and it was worth about $30.00. Avoid this place at all cost!
