Nice clean and spacious with moderately friendly staff. Rooms have no view - if you like garret's you'll like this one Bring your own coffee - none in room and though they promised morning delivery - it never happened. For the price - go find a view instead

Simply the Best.

I have been to many destinations and many Hotels. This is the first time that I couldn't find one negative thing to say. As I said in the title. The Portland Regency was simply the best. My wife and I will be back very soon.

The best in Portland

The Portland Regency was a wonderful experience from beginning to end!Located perfectly in the heart of Portland's Historic Old Port District, the hotel is within walking distance of a variety of specialty shops, galleries, and fabulous restaurants (don't miss the Fore Street Restaurant). Attentive staff, attention to detail, truly personalized services and a great longe - highly recommended!

wonderfuull and surprising

what a jewel this hotel is. i was so pleased to find a non smoking property in a city that seemed to only have smoking rooms, available not to mention spa tretments a great restraunt and the lounge you should try the martini's all in all one of the best hotels, that i have ever had the pleasure of staying in, in new england.

FABULOUS! My honey's fav spot

This is a wonderful hotel - I am from the Portland area so I have seen them all, and this one takes the cake! I met my boyfriend for the first time in the courtyard of the Regency. The spa was SO wonderful. They let us in at MIDNIGHT to use the hot tub. There was lovely spa music playing, the lights were dim, and the tub was emmense. Even a rock waterfall on the wall! The food was wonderful! My lvoe and I return again and again!
