Needs Improvement

The staff person was very friendly and helpful but this property is undergoing renovation or something. The room was not equipped for two (only one plastic glass, 2 small bath towels, one washcloth appeared to have been used and left on the towel bar) even though it had two beds and I specified a room for 2 adults. I also had trouble calling the staff to get a wakeup call or to get more towels and glasses - the phone was incessantly busy. However, if you want a cheap bed for the night in Houlton Maine, it is tolerable.

Fix it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After having to ring the doorbell several times. Seeing the pool area, not cleaned or hasn't been used in years. then he gave us the key finally to look at a place in the back. The AC didn't work, the windows wouldn't crank out. Other features were ok, nice refrigerator, did work. the outside needed a paint job badley. not in a good side of town.

I would have been better off to sleep in my car. Horrible is the only word to describe this place!!

Don't Ever Stay Here

This motel has changed ownership in the last few years and is no longer a good place to stay. It is on the outside of town and is attached to an old decrepit bar. It is rundown, with peeling wallpaper and telephones in some rooms that don't work. I made a reservation to stay in this motel from the internet because it had a AAA rating but do not be fooled. That is not up-to-date. The room smelled, was very poorly maintained and had an overall decrepit appearance. For the same money, you could stay in one of two other beautiful motels in Houlton, Maine: Ivey's Motor Lodge or Shiretown Motor Inn. Both have swimming pools and of the two, Ivey's is more upscale but costs a little more. Shiretown Motor Inn has a restaurant and lovely rooms for the indoor pool.
