Five-star service for three-star prices

I especially liked the service. Away from the main cities and tourist spots in Japan, it is hard to find hotel staff who can speak more than broken English. To my surprise and delight, I found in this hotel a near native-speaker of English in one young male member of staff. He made me feel relaxed and greatly helped answer all of my questions politely and correctly. I would definitely choose this hotel the next time I am in Kumamoto.
The rooms were adequate and the food was quite good.
