Firmly in the AVERAGE category...

I am a business traveller and have stayed in hotels all over the world. From my perspective, this is just an "OK" property. Clearly, they have the average category mastered, but they have quite a way to go if they are to get to their 4 to 5 star billing. The ground floor common areas of the hotel are actually quite nice. However, once you get above the ground floor, you will find that the hotel is in need of some updating. Construction and renovation seems to be the order of the day.
The room that I had was small and was not terribly comfortable. Noise from construction went well beyond the managers assurance that everything would stop by 7 PM. The room appointments and decor are below par. The bed in my room was like sleeping on a stone slab. The mini bar was pretty basic. Overall, I would have to say that the room itself was un-inspiring.
A word about the staff While they are reasonably courteous, they did not rank very high in the customer service department. I asked for two liters of bottled water, and after an hour wait, I ended up going to the front desk to ask again. I was genuinely surprised to get the deer caught in the headlights act from the front desk clerk. They speak and understand english here, but sometimes you have to write things down for them. I personally dislike having to ask for things more than one time... especially when I am paying.
If comfort and amenities and good customer service are what you are looking for, you may want to make another choice. I know I will next time I am in Delhi.
