we went here last year in august and i had the best 2 weeks of my life. I met fantastic people i fount all the clubbing really good. You could not ask for more from the staff they were as good as gold! I had so much fun especially dancing and getting chased around the pool, everyone was so freindly!! I miss essam and hassan and the redcoat man alot! They were so nice to me and made it feel like my home. I still keep in touch with them all by phone. But im keeping it a secret about going back. This place was the best ever! So clean and everything i love everyone at moveenpicckkk joliiee villeee :) tamaraa

I was a bit worried when reading some reviews about the accomadation,but it was fine the location of all the rooms were great we stayed in block D & had a side veiw of nile the staff could not do enough for you it was clean we were near the two pools.I think if you stay in blocks M-X it is very very quite.Room service was great did not wait more than 20 mins,the bus service was great dont be late it goes on time.Iam so glad we did not stay in luxor to much hassle.we booked all trips with harba tours from london we had own guide we did not get hassle at all the guild just put his hand up & they left us alone,the best trip was the balloon you must go if you can, you can get all trips cheaper if you can find jollys & like the hassle that goes with it not for us.We will go again next on the cruise for few days,it was a great hoilday.

we discovered this heaven by accident when introduced by my sister and husband.we are heading back in may 2008,and look forward to hopefully meeting some of the friends that we met there in previous years. my wife and i have now been 6 times and look forward to many more,the staff are great and no weird request is dismissed lightly [ice]. cleaning staff are brilliant and always respect you privacy the grounds are beautiful and always seem to have lovely blooms no matter when you go. cant wait until may. david and jo

This hotel is wonderful. I have stayed here 4 times previously and have a 5th trip booked for Christmas 2008. The grounds and rooms are excellent and I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone. I was therefore astounded by your comments that this hotel is not furnished as well as it might be, and that it doesn't have wardrobes, just a curtain. I can assure you that not only is there adequate wardrobe space, but the wardrobes are of a good construction (ie the doors don't fall off whenever you open them) and there are plenty of good quality of coathangers provided. Unless they've decided to take a backward step, rip out all the wardrobes and replace them with curtained alcoves since my last visit!

must inform you that there is not a view of the pyramids as stated as they are approximately 200 miles to the north at Giza just south of Cairo! we have stayed here many times and hope it will not change because of new ownership.

Location: wonderful island, peacefull, lots of birds Very helpfull staff Last time Santa Claus arrived on his camel(!) Good food, good children's deals. Every day entertainment and excursions and boattrips. I just love the sunset- concert at the Nile. Just one small thing: You can't just walk out of the hotel to the city-center, but the hotelboat is a good alternative.

Spent 2 brilliant weeks at the Jolie Ville in October 2007 and wow what a place! The staff were absolutely fantastic and so friendly. The location of the Jolie Ville is ideal being only 5 - 10 minutes drive from Luxor. Can't wait to go back again very soon!

this is somewhere very special, myself and wife go back year after year, for some "Our time" and year after year we meet the regular guests like ourselves. The staff are amazing, friendly, curtious and efficient due to the good management skills and regular training. there is always a smile on thier faces and after going back time after time we are on a first name term with many of them. The food is wonderful and the variety is exceptional, the rooms are comfortable clean and well furnished. A Felluca sail at sunset is amazing out on the Nile watching the sunset is one of the most romantic scenes you will ever experience, or even listen to the Sunset concert and let your self drift into a world of peace and tranquility. for those who want to live it up a little then Fella's Tent at the tip of Crocodile Island is a must, with Belly Dancing, Snake Charmers, Egyptian Stick Dancers, excellent food and as much wine or beer as you can take, a good family night out for Mums Dads and their children. Me and my wife re-newed our wedding vows in the peace and tranquility of Peter Island on the banks of the Nile in front of Father William the local Monk, the hotel laid on everything for us a photographer drinks food and even the the Guests Liaison Manager stood as a witness for us the manager gave us a bottle of Champagne. The nightly entertainer Seti is a must to listen to and loved by the guests his blend of Western and local music set the atmosphere. All in all this hotel is and must be one of the best throughout the world and richly deserves to be. those that go once will be like ourselves yearning to return all the time. So thanks to the Jolie Ville and its management and staff and we will see you all soon Insh Allah

The Island is fantastic, well attended gardens and a beautiful walk around the whole Island. the Bungalows are basic, but clean and the super King size beds very comefortable. The staff were most obliging and very helpful & friendly. The swimming pools, especially the infinity pool are spectacular and cleaned daily. We were on Bed & Breakfast only but found all meals we purchased were top class with fresh vegetables and beautifully cooked. The 2 shops are expensive compared to down town so buy downtown if you can. A kettle was supplied when we asked for one within 20 minutes. Meals delivered to our room were tasty, hot and quickly delivered. I was not impressed with the Crocodile bar though, it was dark inside and a little noisy although the service was excellent. A bus and boat are available for downtown outings and are reliable. A Taxi service is also available but be careful, make sure the driver sticks to what you require and not to take you to his friends shop for hassle and probable sales you dont want. For goodness sake DO NOT use the word "IMSHI" meaning "GO AWAY". It agrivates the traders and some can use threatening angry words. A very enjoyable holiday indeed and will certainly go back there.
