Description

Just want to relax and chill in the sun, then welcome to the Queens Bay Hotel. This outstanding hotel is set in its own well, kept gardens that lead down to a 'cute' natural lagoon. The Queens Bay is the choice if you want a soothing, calming tranquil holiday with all the facilities of a four star hotel at 3 star rates. The Queens Bay is situated in a wonderful location, set back from the main road with beautiful views of the sea and mountains and dramatic sunsets in the evenings as seen from the pool terraces, which add to the serenity of this hotel. Whilst the Queens Bay attracts all ages it particularly attracts couples without children and is also extremely popular with repeat clients. The hotel is a welcoming hotel with a pleasant informal, sociable ambiance. The Hotel staff have the right mix of professionalism and friendliness whilst maintaining the highest standards of service. The hotel can be found below the picturesque village of Kissonerga, which has many excellent local tavernas, bars and restaurants. Queens Bay is also half way between the famous ancient site of The Tombs of the Kings and the popular beach spot of Coral Bay, with quick and easy access to Paphos town and harbour, with its ancient Venetian fort and sidewalk cafes and restaurants.

The hotel was a bit out of paphos but there is a good bus service serving the hotels in the area. The hotel was excelent in all aspects i.e.food-cleanliness-pleasant staff, all adding to a memorable stay.It is only classed 3 star but I'v stayed in a lot lot worse in that catergory Would reccommend it, and will return myself.

King's wellcome at Queen's Bay
By AlexL, 7/4/07
We had a very, very comfortable stay at Queen's Bay Hotel. Stayed there during the high season (August) and despite the hotel being full, our family of three enjoyed it enormously. The water was lovely and ultra clean, our room comfortable and the staff very helpful.

Queens Bay Another happy return
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/5/07
This was our third visit to Queens Bay Hotel but first time we had been in the winter, our normal time of going is of course in the summer time. Obviously the hotel has a different feel in the winter and the clients are more towards long stays and a little bit older but we expected this. Whilst of course the hotel isn’t as busy as it is in the summer we were surprised at the number of clients here, which gave to a nice atmosphere most nights in the bar and restaurant as most clients stayed in the hotel in the evenings. The weather as we expected was a mixed bag whilst we had 3 glorious days when we first arrived after that we had some rain and a bit of wind for a few days but its winter here to and we had to expect that, but no were near as cold as the UK! Of course as we are repeat clients we love the hotel otherwise we wouldn’t keep going back year after year. What we like most at Queens Bay Hotel is that you are not just a number it’s a very friendly hotel and by the second time you go back you are always greeted with welcome back or in our case we get welcome home! This is just what it is like for us returning, home from home. We know what to expect, good friendly service from the staff good food, nice comfortable room and value for money. The staff are very hard working and are a credit to the hotel we know that many of them have been with the hotel from when it opened. Each year we go back there is always some improvement made. This time they have started to replace the carpet in the rooms with laminate flooring, which looks very nice and makes the room look bigger. We like to see this as it shows that the hotel takes a pride in their business and as clients we enjoy the benefits of the improvements. Over all we would recommend this hotel without reservation we hope that we will be able to continue our visits to Queens Bay Hotel for many years to come.

good value for money
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/12/07
This was our first visit to Queens Bay in November 2006, we had read that it was a 3 star but with 4 star standards etc this was true. Infact we wondered why it wasn’t a four start to begin with? Service, cleanliness, decoration and location were all very good indeed we couldn’t fault it. Food wise, we found a good selection hot and cold buffet what ever you wanted really. There were 3-4 meat dishes, always a fish dish, hot and cold pastas, salads, vegetables, potatoes e.t.c Our room was basic but very clean and comfortable, the sea view was lovely although we were on the second floor if we go back I would like to go up a couple of floors. The location and views from the hotel are breath taking got some wonderful sun set photos. In fact standing and looking from the terraces around the pool you could be on a ship that’s the feel it gives as you are right on the sea. In all we had a great time and found the hotel excellent, in other reviews I read that people found prices high I would have to disagree this is a hotel after all and I found the prices reasonable, approx 6cyp for a decent wine and approx 1.75 cyp a pint of beer. We did eat out a couple of times and actually found wine and beer more expensive in some places. But in all a great time and would go back again.

weather not to good in feb 06 but still had a great holiday
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/13/06
we upgraded to a sea veiw and from bed and breakfast to half board and it was worth every penny. The food was fantastic there was something for everyone. the staff were very nice. The only thing that let our holiday down was the weather. It was cold and wet but we got wrapped up had some lovely walks around the banana plantations and orange groves. We also went site seeing and hired a car.Ideal for couples over 35.

Excellent Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/25/06
My wife and I spent a week at the hotel on half board basis in mid-February 2006. The hotel is nearer Coral Bay than Paphos but a 20-minute bus service takes you to either Coral Bay or Paphos for the standard 80 cent fare. The hotel was thankfully free from small children and is the ideal setting for us "mature types". The rooms were spotless and extremely comfortable. The food was excellent with plenty of choice for all tastes. The breakfasts were are classed as "continental" but there was fruit and yoghurt, cereal, scrambled eggs or fried eggs, boiled eggs, sausages or bacon, then cheeses and cold meat with a range of home made breads. All in all this is a great hotel staffed with extremely friendly staff. We will be returning.

THANK YOU GREAT HOLIDAY
By Petros, 5/28/05
My husband and I have just returned from a holiday at Queens Bay Hotel Paphos and we had a brilliant time. Staff are friendly and professional, the food was great lots of choice buffet style so you can eat as much or as little as you wish. Always nice and hot the food. Our room was pleasant and spotless, the housemaids are to be commended. We hada sea view room the view was beautiful and not too hot this time of year to sit out on your balcony in the sun. Entertainment wasnt bad a mixture of things again very pleasant. We wanted a nice relaxing break as a couple with nice surroundings, nice people, good food and thats what we got. Well recommended as a couples hotel as advertised. Thanks again
