Mandarin Oriental Du Rhone, Geneva

Nice hotel, but not worth the money. Service is excellent, almost a little over-nice.

We arrived from New York on a Sunday, and were very tired after an 8 hr flight. Check-in was smooth and pleasant. This was my first time to Europe and I wasn't use to the huge room key. (that you leave with the front desk as you go out of the hotel). The staff (who most were at least tri-lingual) were the best in the hotel business. All smiles and willing to help with anything you wanted...Yes it was pricey, but it was truely money well spent. (thanks boss) The rooms are a bit smaller than most major U.S. City hotel rooms in this price range (except NYC), but it was modern,bright and clean. (Only a minor smell of cigarette smoke). Did I mention the staff was GREAT!!! If you go, ask for a room on the river side of the building and you'll have an unbelievable view of the sunrise,the lake, the mountains, and downtown...... If you are really looking for a 5 star hotel, look no further...This is the best. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying there stay..
