HOTEL FACTS: Must read
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/26/07
1) Keep in mind Florida had one of the worst hurricanes in 2005 (Wilma), and private places like this are still suffering from the damages(but no excuse for inside..) 2)Yes, some of the rooms might be old. Definitely not updated when it comes to "style", but if you want fancy, I guarantee you wont find it for this amount and this location. Keep in mind, in a few years there wont be hotels like this because more and more hotels are being upgraded, remodeled, or rebuild. THIS IS A BARGAIN. 3)If you book online, and something goes wrong, don't blame the hotel. Online companies have nothing to do with the hotel itself. 4) LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. Simple. 5) Don't forget: the Restaurant and the jet ski place in the beach are not affiliated with the actual hotel. You hear a complain for them, don't include the hotel. 6) This hotel is not for people that plan on doing nothing but just staying in the room and the beach. GET OUT AND VISIT SOUTH FLORIDA! This place is better if you see it as a place that you can sleep in, simple. This hotel is best for families or couples that can't afford that big vacation, but still wants to visit Florida. Remember, Orlando is 3 hours away and South Beach about 45 minutes. 7) Remember, you have an option to move your room, upgrade your view, and pay extra for a cot or/and an efficiency. Also, maintenance is always there to help you out with anything. Before complaining, try resolving the problem. Overall: People will usually complain more than actually make compliments. This is a great place if you want to walk to a quiet, private beach; and want to save some money without giving up a beautiful location; Don't expect 5 starts if your not you're not paying for 5 starts.

No paradise here.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/02/07
The Paradise Resort is delapitated and poorly equipped. The beach and pool are fine, but that will not keep you smiling. Thankfully we only stayed 2 nights. Everything from leaks in the hallway ceiling, ripped carpets, peeling sinks and tubs, beach towels in the dryer all afternoon and flooding in the parking lot after an overnight rain. We left the restaurant after we had dried up mussels and stale bread. I feel sorry for anyone who checks in for a week or more. It is time to shut this one down and rebuild.

Little rectifitation: This is not a hotel but a motel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/31/06
Well its as simple as that, at the front desk the staff is horrible!! No smiles, they dont care if you like the hotel or not... The corridors were scaring... But wait until you come in your room... we were at the floor zero and the glass door was closed by a wooden bar since it had been forced in precedently by stealers and there was no other way to close it. Then the mattress was rippen and old,you could feel the springs when lying on it and as soon as you moved the other person moved as well. The carpet was disguting and the tiles of the bathroom were black from dirtiness. The lights looked old and pipes were rusted, the shower disgusting and old... We were ment to stay 7 days but we left before in a hurry to change hotel because we couldnt stand it anymore... Patricia Anduran

would go back but the place is falling apart!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/24/06
The bathrooms are falling apart and ther are holes in the tile. Carpet is old and smelly, furniture is old.Curtains and bedding needs to be replaced and they run out of towels. But the personnel were friendly and the place was kept clean and the location is great! I would pay good money if they repaired and updated the place.

We were VERY pleased
By VickieR, 03/28/06
After reading some of the reviews, we were very nervous about this place. Well let me tell you, we loved it!!!. Yes it needs some remodeling but that is the only bad thing I can say. The location was wonderful, the room was huge & had a kitchenette. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to please. There was also live entertainment, at the pool, Sat. afternoon. The extra money for the pool/ocean view room was well worth it. We will definetely return.

DON'T go there
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/26/06
The room was run down, the hallway was run down but in the morning we found out the cold water faucet and the shower faucet were totally broken and there was no way to keep hot water in the tub if you wanted to try a bath. Then the sink did not drain and we got absolutely no where with the manager or staff. A horrible experience. We are reporting them everywhere we can. STAY AWAY, It is a rip-off!
