Purposely raises rates, dirty, bugs, and nasty!

This hotel purposely raises its prices for the WIN for KC Triathlon since they know they are the only hotel close to the lake. It is NOT nice accomodations but it is close to the lake so I've stayed there in the past. This year they purposely made it a 2 night minimum stay AND raised the rates on purpose for the triathlon. It is definately not worth $170. You'd think they would be happy for the business and welcoming to the women in town for the race. Instead they raise the rates and try to take advantage of customers. I'm appauled and will never stay there again! Shame on you!!

Avoid this place!

BUGS! This was a horrible experience for us during the summer of 2009. Smithville really needs a new hotel! I have relatives near there and will drive pretty far now to avoid this dump!

Nice friendly clean motel!

Front desk employees were great! Housekeeping did good job too! I liked the country motel feel to the place where you are treated like family. Respectable motel! Would recommend to everyone!
