By Chandi, 5/20/10
my first time to go there.. wow, love the place, the beautiful, deep and calm sea.. the room, the place.. wish i could go back there again.. it's just sooo expensive im not sure i can afford to make it with my own peso.. haha.. so thankful i was with governor's wife and some mayors wives when i went there.. i spent nothing from my own pocket.. whew.. i love the pool too.. think i cud spend 5 hours there.. the water's lukewarm and it relaxes me..

its so expensive!
By Aileen, 11/5/09
the people are not that accomodating, the moment you face the reception area, you'll be disappointed with the receptionist who dont like her job and make it hard for you to get a room and makes you feel unwelcome.and dont believe the rates on their website you'll be so disappointed you want to ran back but your trap.its like shelling out money for a shangrila cebu resort but staying in a cheap resort. the view was stunning but for pictorials only, you'll be finding yourself itching if you swim in their beach and drown yourself to death if your not careful because it suddenly gets so deep. our only consolation is the pool.if you want to stay in a resort for a pool for kids, stay here but if your looking for a beach, you'll be disappointed.the food is so expensive with a minimal taste.you'll find yourself spending a min of 3100 per person in their bahay kubo without breakfast for a stay there.

Nice Resort but a bit old
By Jacque, 10/31/08
so i had so much high expectations for this resort, it's supposed to be one of the most prestigious and exclusive resorts in the philippines. the room we stayed in, the balay house, was quite old, it smelled like an old house. it is in need of an update. on the positive note, the buffet was superb! when we where there the resort was celebrating octoberfest, the food was good and drinks are overflowing. overall the view, resort itself was good. my only negative review is that the rooms, specifically, the balay room needs some serious update.

Nice place
By Obi One, 5/7/08
I am an american and went there with my filipino gf back in 2006 while staying in Davao and meeting her family. We are actually a young couple unlike many of the " old men with young woman" which are all over. Very cheap with conversion of amer to peso, rooms where great, food was nice, pool was nice, staff was nice, and the snorkeling was fantastic. I would def go there again.

*sigh* perfect!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/8/08
I've been there about 2 years ago w/ my family. It was an amazing experience. The best thing I like about it was that its less crowded, great cust service & awesome food! It felt like our private resort, i love it! It's kind of expensive though, good thing it was my generous Aunt paying! :) I intend to save up to go back there probably this year.

Great retreat in Davao
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/20/07
I've been to this place twice before and I loved it. There is a buffet with a decent variety of foods and a good selection of drinks both acholic and non. The trip there is about 15 minutes by boat and most of the time you will fall alseep after 5. There were a few questionable dislikes. The first was when I went scuba diving with a a friend. With out 2 guides we boated out to a near by island. Almost instantly we were surrounded by smaller boats with native(?) islanders trying to sell us pearls. It seemed like they were also trying to board the boat. It was a little disconcerning and almost reminded me of pirates of the caribean. I ask my girlfriend, she is filipino, if everything was ok and she said they were just vendors. They did not seem threatening but it was still unexpected. The second dislike about the resort was that flies and other insects consistantly flew towards the food at the buffet area. Other then these 2 concerns Pearl Farm is a wonderful resort while staying in Davao and I adivse you to give it a shot.

excellent snorkeling! expensive food...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/19/07
This resort is so exclusive from the rest of Samal Island and has a small, but nice beach near the bar. Pearl Farm Davao is now a protected fish sanctuary that gives it a big fish population. So snorkeling is such a big hit in this resort. There are other activities too like the jetski, ocean kayaks, banana boat, wakeboarding, etc. Too bad they don't have parasailing... Oh, and the infinity pool is great! The food is good but quite expensive (can't imagine eating chicken pork adobo of P300 per serving!). They serve good pasta and steaks but the menu is quite limited. You could probably taste everything on the menu if you stay too long. And... my crispy pata is better than theirs. Still, this place is good for couples. The view is good, the place is a bit exclusive, and there are plenty of things to do if you bring your kids along. The service is top notch. They really pamper you up to the little details, though the massage was not so good. A barber could have done a better massage.

Incredibe!
By sally, 2/28/07
This place blew my mind. I stayed in one of the Samal suites - the view from its balcony unbelieveable. The food was beautiful, the staff very friendly and helpful. If you cannot relax and unwind here there is something very wrong with you.
