BEST in NEVADA CITY
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/17/07
We love the Emma Nevada House. It is hands down the best B&B in Nevada City now that Grandmere's has closed. When we tried to book Grandmere, we were redirected to the Parsonage and booked there, what a let-down. So we walked around town and asked the shopkeepers where the best place to stay was and all highly recommended the Emma Nevada House. What a wonderful experience, from walking in to immaculate parlors, fresh baked goodies and then to our beautiful suite, the Empress' Chamber we were thrilled! Breakfast was exceptional, from the delicious Emma Nevada Sunrise to start followed by the best pears I have ever tasted and then a beautiful souffle and scone! Pure bliss. The innkeepers/owners, Andy & Susan were wonderful, very helpful, but not in your face. They directed us to two delicious dinners, one at New Moon and the second at Citronee, both great choices. We also treated ourselves to a creekside couples massage! Oh my! We shall return.

Excellent B&B
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/06/06
We used to stay at the Grandmere in Nevada City and were very upset at its closing. Locals recommended the Emma Nevada House and it was fabulous. The rooms were tastfully appointed, breakfast was outstanding and the owners very personable. We will definitely recommend the Emma Nevada House and return again and again! Great find!
