Crescent Bay Inn, Laguna Beach

pro: walking distance to the beach, price was ok (was cheapest place around) con: room smelled like smoke, everything was old and outdated. NO A/C, only had a ceiling fan, sheets were dirty and stained. had to request another room that was a little better but not much. Oceanview room was blocked by trees. and YES, there are people who live there on a daily basis. would not be surprised if they are registered sex offenders as the other reviews indicated. we will not be going back!!!

For a over night stay, our lil family had a blast! The beach was a 2 minute walk. The beach was awesome! Quaint, personal and tide pools on both sides. Our 2nd morning we swam with a dolphin!! Diving pelicans everywhere. Our room? Well the beds were comfortable. Could use some coffee and coffee cups. Location? Way kewl. Minutes from Lagunas downtown. Making this Inn a once a year weekend get away from now on. And if you enjoy authentic Italiano ... Salernos is the bomb!!! (

Stayed here for a few days with a friend and had a wonderful stay! Staff was so nice and rooms were recently remodeled in the most cute beach decor! Above it all, the hotel has direct access to Crescent Bay Beach, which is the most beautiful beach in all of Orance County! Can't wait to go back!

Crescent Bay Inn overlooks the Ocean, Foliage and wayy desireable scenery on the way to the short walk to the Crescent Bay Beach. The Owner and owner's family made me feel welcome comfortable and looked out for. Loved It !Loved It ! Loved It! You will too- Least Expensive Accomdations up and down the coastal area. The place is cozy ,older but quiet. fantastic views and the walk to the beach , wow that Crescent Bay is so so pritty. staff were freindly and honest. This place is a hidden treasure ,I cant wait to tell everyone I know...

My wife and I stayed here for a night over memorial Day Weekend 2006 and got exactly what we paid for. No frills, no extras, no problems. Just a great room for the price. If you're looking for a boutique hotel, don't look here. This is perfect for surfers who want a weekly stay with a do-it-yourself vibe or for people who just want a cheap place to get away and be a recluse. The location is perfect for Crescent Bay and downtown Laguna. The room itself has your basics, a nice bed, clean bathroom with towels and soap and a kitchenette with a fridge and microwave. You also get a table and chairs. The ocean view is above the homes and slightly obstructed by some trees, but overall, its good.
