Ardmore Inn, Woodstock

Located just outside Woodstock village center, this lovely inn exemplifies everything I love about vacationing in Vermont. Charlotte and Cary work very hard to provide all the comforts you would expect from a romantic rural inn and more - there's hot cider and fresh baked cookies in the dining room all evening and a nice fire in the cozy Library. The clean and well maintained whirlpool tub is lined with candles (mmm. Tubbing by candlelight :) and there are fresh flowers in the rooms. Also the breakfasts are very much worth getting up for - Cary is an excellent cook. We enjoyed this inn immensely and hope to return someda - it's a lovely place to make your base of operations for a visit to Woodstock at any time of year. Highly recommended.
