Our Home Away From Home
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/26/06
From the first time we stepped into Hotel Casci in October 1997, we were treated with utmot courtsey. The Lombardi family simply couldn't be more accomodating. They saw to our every need. When our son returns frequently to Florence his trip wouldn't be complete unless he stoped in to say "hi"! We would never stay any place other than the Hotel Casci. The staff was truly beyond friendly - we had the best experience here. Delicious breakfasts, clean & airy rooms, and a perfect location. Would go back there in a heartbeat.

Family Hotel
By Sam M, 8/31/04
I stayed at the Hotel Casci in May 2004. I had a wonderful experience with the hotel and the staff which is a family run. They remembered your name which made me feel very comfortable. They were there day or night to answer any questions, book reservations for tours and give general tips about what to see in the city. The room was clean, comfortable and affordable. The location was good - right down the street from the Duomo. They serve a great breakfast too! Some of the things that I found different than other hotels were that they locked the front door after 1am and you have to ring a bell downstairs at the door and the night person would unlock it. The plumbing was noisy - but I found that in all the hotels in Italy.

Casci - Friendly Beyond Belief!
By aerograd, 8/31/04
We stayed at Hotel Casci (pronounced Cashee) for our honeymoon in Sept 2003. We spent three nights there including the night of the nationwide blackout! The staff is so friendly it's almost scary. They speak great english (among other languages), are happy to recommend restaurants, have an internet access point in their lobby to check your e-mail, and have a pretty good breakfast including toast, eggs, cereal, fruit, yogurt, juices, etc. Our room overlooked the interior courtyard and was very comfortable. The rooms have refridgerators so you can keep drinks or leftovers too. It's in an excellent location - very near the Duomo, open air market place, square with restaurants and other shops. If you go to Florence, of course go see the statue of David and the museums. Also take some extra time to walk out to the mountains (hills) across the river and take in the view overlooking the city. Buy an original oil painting while you're up there to remember your trip. Florence had the nicest people and overall best food in our whole Italy trip of Rome, Florence, and Venice! If you go to the square to eat (the restaurant may have been Zsa Zsa's, but I can't remember for sure) there is a peppercorn filet mignon that is possibly the best steak I have ever had! It was definitely the best non-pasta meal I had while in Italy. You can't go wrong with Florence or Hotel Casci in our opinions!

Hotel Casci - Florence Italy
By Gigi, 8/28/04
We stayed at the Hotel Casci in the summer of 2004 in one of their family rooms. Beautiful suite, quiet and very clean. Lovely atmosphere. It's a family run business and they knock themselves out to make you happy. Breakfast in the morning was very nice and you simply cannot beat the location. Walk to train station 10 mins...Dome 5 mins. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Do not hesitate in staying here!!
