The check-in process was overly long and not friendly. Desk clerk left me in mid-process to answer the phone and help that person, while I stood at the counter waiting. Man in line behind me just turned around and walked out!. If we had not pre-booked the room, I would have left too. No pool, which makes the price of the room way too high for value. The place was noisy, could hear conversations in the lobby as well as people in the hallway until 2 AM. The air conditioner cycled on and off. so could not use that to drown the noise. Wound up leaving the bathroom fan on all night. Would never stay there again, could not wait to leave.

Worst motel we have ever stayed in. Noisy, over-priced, dirty and stank of cigarette smoke. Would absolutely never stay there for any reason.

We could not check in until 3:00 PM, even though Price Line.com said check in was at 11:00 AM. The room had not been vacummed, there was food crumbs all over the floor. The bedding smelled very musty, the towels and wash clothes had a really nasty ordor. After being in the room the over one and a half hours we had two employees use a pass key and try to come into our room, only to find the chain on the door and us in the room, not sure what their plans were. Not worth the price, would like a refund!

Our family stayed at Stupid 8 in Winnemucca in Feb. & Mar. of 09. Both trips were for wrestling tournaments. Both times it was a total disaster! Our first stay, they were doing something to a couple of rooms, and the whole place reaked of fumes. We all woke up with head aches from the fumes. No window or doors were open for ventalation. Our second trip was for NV St. tournament. The whole motel was booked. Not enought hot water to support a full motel. We all took cold showers for 2 days. Several pepople complained, the called a plumber. However, all they did was cut the water preasure to slow down the distrabution of hot water. So we all had cold showers with no water preasure, which took twice as long. Our room had no microwave or fridge. Employees were extremly rude when we complained about the conditions. We should have been paid $55.00 a night to stay there. Total distaster, total dump, will NEVER stay there again!
