Horrible!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/18/11
Quite frankly, I liked nothing about my stay at Hotel Las Palomas. I suppose it was ok in that it was a building, there was a bed inside it and lots of other smoke-screen, froo-froo amenities going on. It all boiled down to hotel policy. I could live with the fact they have a 48 hour cancellation policy that is adhered to as if it was a papal bull, but sometimes life causes problem we can't control. A little flexibility in these things would be nice. So I couldn't cancel without paying for my room anyway? Well, that's why I was there with my sick child. That's why she sneezed and coughed all over the continental breakfast (I'm guessing the continent was Africa based on the scarcity of food there) and wiped a booger in the Kiva. All in all I was ready to try and postpone my vacation and reschedule with Hotel Las Palomas, but because of their inviolate policy I had to go when it was unenjoyable. I can assure you, I'll never be back.

Wonderful Stay - Will Go Back
By Cougar, 10/19/10
We loved our stay. The casita we stayed in was wonderful and we loved the Santa Fe style. Very comfortable and we loved the fireplace. The room had plenty of space. I only wish my bed at home was as comfortable as the one in our room here. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast served in the lobby was a nice surprise and very good.

we can't wait to go back... but probably no there
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/24/09
the photos did not correspond to the reality. The room was clean but obsolete, especially the bathroom (the water runs out on the wooden floor and on the wall). The personel was very helpfull (especially Mrs. Tina).

Pleasant

This place is very nice. The kitchens are great and I liked preparing food. A bit far from the main Plaza if you plan to shop a lot. They desk personnel are very nice and accommodating.

Very poor service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/10/08
The casita was very nice but the deluxe continental breakfast was more than disapointing both mornings. They had difficulty keeping clean plates, coffee cups and food out at the buffet. The 2 Russian employees were rude to us both days when we asked to have the buffet re-stocked and for clean dishes. Our room was not clean when we arrived back to our room ready to rest at 4 pm. We arrived Friday night the kitchen trash was full and had been missed by the maid. The property was lovely but the service was very poor. We gave the manager a chance to make things right and give us a slight discount but he declined. We will not return. It seems that the Las Palomas is hiring cheap contract Russians worker's that have no concept of kindness and customer service. It is clear that they are miserable and hate their jobs. Beauty at its best!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/5/07
Great location! Just a walk to the best places in town yet, secluded enough to relax in private! The room was huge and so cozy. We loved every minute of it and will definately stay here again next time we come to Santa Fe, NM!

Nice Staff, but.....
By Mark, 6/10/07
Very nice staff, but my room wasn't that great for the price. It was basically like staying in Grandma's large spare bedroom. Clean, but dated.... I wish the bed wasn't on wheels also. It creaked a lot and slid around too much. Nice location though.

The hotel was wonderful. Very clean and well appointed at a decent price. I will think of that place again when I return to Sante Fe.

Quaint, Romantic, well located
By Barbara, 1/31/06
What a great time we had...this place was a delight! It was well located, easy to find, staff was friendly and accomodating. The Casita was great...had it's own little kitchen and living area with patio....it was private and romantic and very Santa Fe! We enjoyed ourselves and will return again.

I Loved This Hotel
By jill, 9/19/05
I stayed at Las Palomas in Aug. when the place was quite crowded with tourists, but you'd never know it by the great location of this hotel. Although it's only 3 blocks from the main square, it's located on a quiet residential street and seemed like an oasis. My territoial studio was charming with a gas-lit fireplace(which I actually used, the nights get chilly) and a kitchenette. The breakfast(included in the room rate) was fabulous with homemade waffles and cappacino. The entire staff was extremely efficient and helpful and I can't say enough about the owner, Neil Rosenshein. Not only did he get me a ticket for a sold out opera, he even lent me a jacket!! Now that's great service!!!! And don't miss a trip to Ten Thousand Waves, a wonderful Japenese type spa, a few minutes outside of town-fantastic!
