Will never recomend this hotel
My husband had made reservations for Comfort Inn, it was to our surprise that it was Supreme Inn. First of all I was mortified that this hotel was affiliated with Comfort Inn. My 2 yr old son and I was meeting my husband there, I had a 2 1/2 hour drive and my husband had a hour drive. My son and I met a horrific storm coming in on 4-29-06. The hotel attendant that night did not know the exit number from hwy 55 that I needed to take. It was storming I could see and she was of no help to me and my 2yr old.
My husband had made the reservations with his credit card. I finally made it to the hotel and couldn't check in because my husband had the credit card with him. The hotel clerk greeted me and said she just had spoke with my husband, I had all my ID so I really cant understand why, my 2 yr old and I had to sit in the lobby. I had very little cash on me with a check book. My 2 yr old and I had to sit in the lobby and wait on my husband to come, by the way which was an hour after I got there due to the storm.
When we finally check in, the hotel was filthy there were no other vacancies at any hotel in the area due to the storm. The first thing we saw was a barbecue grill on the premises, we thought we were at a trailer park. Room 222 should be demolished. The spread on the bed was filthy, the furniture was broken the door knob to the bathroom came off in my husbands hand, there was no ironing board let alone an iron.
We had an early appointment that morning in New Orleans, we had intended to rise early and check out. We was so stressed out due to the stormy conditions, we didn't notice there wasn't a clock to wake us up. We woke up late that morning, and didn't have enough time to gather our things so we could check in another hotel when we returned. When we returned back to Hammond, we missed the deadline to check out, therefore we had to spend another night. With all the amenities this hotel lacks it behoves me that it has fictitiously rated so high. Thank you, for the stay, it was a truly a memorable one.
