Orchid Hotel And Resort, Eilat

We stay at the orchid and have a 5 star - wonderful experience all the time. Here is how you do it. Make sure you tell the manager that you have no tolerance for the 1 out of 100 ultra-religious nit-wits who come down to Eilat and try to pollute the resorts with their foolish rules. Explain to them that you don't dress modestly and they will book you in one of the better houses at the top. I delivers a great view and the privacy is treasured. These rooms have an upper Loft and they are always kept clean. Don't bother ordering any drinks at the pool as the lifeguard will come and yell at you for having them near the water. Room Service is sadly limited on Shabbat so pick that day to go Scuba diving and eat light. There are mini golf carts that take you up and down the hill so you have to call down to the desk for a ride. They come within 5-10 minutes flat.

We arrived to be shown to a room that had not been made up and looked like it had been trashed by the previous occupants. When we brought this to managements attention they asked us, if we had done it! When we pointed out that we had only just arrived at the hotel they accepted that we were not responsible. A fiasco then ensued to give us another room - they initially came with the wrong room key and then when they found the correct one, it didn't work. This was to be a repetitive them throughout our miserable stay. That night we had a roof leak at midnight. When we informed recpetion they asked us what we expected them to do at such an ungodly hour! We pointed out it was their problem not ours. Eventually they sent someone who simply truned our room's water supply off! The roof leak was clearly an ongoing problem in our room as you could see previous dried damp patches and rot on the roof and floor where the leak came from and fell. On our second morning we, and our neighbours, were rudely awakened by maintenance at 8am stamping on our roof. This also happned on the third morning as well! When we went to complain to recpetion on each occasion something happened, there were always other people staying at the hotel making complaints. Needless to say, we got no apology, compensation or customer service and stronly recommend all to stay well clear of this dreadful hotel.

The nise place. It was our 4-th time in this htel. And not last!!! We tried all tipes of rooms from "simple room" to villa Shangri-la. Fnd each is gojd.

a very unick hotel, quiet, privacy, clean beach, perfect location.we liked it. the new rooms shangrila- very nice, sea view, good food,place to relaxe. good service, golf cars take you to the room.

It was really nice :). The room was large and clean with extra bed. The staff was friendly. ~20 minunts from the city centre. Good food.

the august hot!!! Is terebble! I liked the tuk-tuk mobile that you to evry places in the hotel 24 hours. I like the bungaloa and ther location. It`s a goog place to take the child for summer holliday.

Been there in the last week of August. The entertainment stuff is excellent, every night there are many high quality shows. The transportation service is also very good - by dialling '0' they sent a tuk-tuk vehicle to drive you wherever you want (swimming pool, parking etc.) The rooms are very nice, each room has a balcony, Cable TV and a very convenient bathroom. The bed is high and not very comfortable. The dining room is designed beautifully and the food is very good and rich. The rooms are clean, but they cleaned only at 15:00 or 16:00 o'clock (!). This was very annoying since we wanted to rest in our rooms at that time... The location of the hotel is good, far from the center of the city and very serene. They also have free internet and computer games for children plus a club for children.

the beautiful setting and the serene thai buildings of this resort are an illusion. when i was there it was more like a cheap summer camp,screaming children of all sizes and ages and stressed out parents. The food was third rate to say the least,and the staff were unprofessional and downrite rude.Certainly not what we expected from looking at the brochures and internet sites.Anyway ill never go back!
