Del Rey Hotel, San Jose

i thought it was great,the staff was very helpful. the rooms were very clean service was availabel@any time of day or night.i orderd room service&it was quick,the food was good.taxis were available@all times prices were good. a great trip.

I love Costa Rica. Beautiful Country, nice people, and one big ugly city (San Jose). Hotel Del Rey is the only reason to be in San Jose. If you are a foreigner, it is where you want to be. Mucho ladies, casino and a club right across the street. The food is good but food is good all over Costa Rica. Just dont think you will find a lady to be your lady. Remember you cant make a Ho a housewife

Been to the Del Rey 4 times. Had a ball each time. Takes a little while to learn the ropes but talk to the friendly local expats and they will steer you straight. Heard of people being ripped off but not me....knock on wood. I found the gambling and drinks and food to be at a good price......me and my navy buddies love it here......I have had no problem walking around at night but you must be cautious like anywhere......The Blue Marlin is Party City for young and old........

The del Rey is definitely the place to visit in Costa Rica if you are looking for quality, full service girls and fun. The biggest problem, however, is the more than beautiful female only bar tenders that will swindle you to pay $8 to $12 for a $2 drink. Please remember not to question your bill, because they will immediately remind you that you are at the Del Rey and this is the way it is. Make sure you ask about prices at the Dl Rey and Costa Rica in general, before purchasing, because prices are not listed for Gringos...they vary as need be to squeeze as much out of you as possible; otherwise, the girls are fun.

Just stayed there and going back for New Year's Eve. However, booking a room there last minute can be a real hassle...I sent an e-mail but it was not returned for two days...between that time, I called and was told the hotel was completely sold out. I later get a return e-mail telling me I have a room...we shall see. The hotel is convenient and the place to stay if you simply want to relax, gamble a little, drink some free beer while gambling, and watching the myriad woman walking around. I love it.

Any single guy and his buddies would say that you can sum up this hotel in one word. "Awesome" The hotel staff was excellent. They are extremely friendly and they very generous to their clients. The central location makes it a must for site seeing. Everything was top notch from the food to the women. I will be going back on my next vacation.

If you are a 35-75 year old single male....hock everything you own and go to the Hotel Del REY & World Famous Blue Marlin Bar. I recommand sampling the Pink Snapper. It's the best that you will find any where in the World... Pura Vida!!!

US-$ 100,-- : the stupid gringo-rate, US-$ 70,-- : enough. Haggle! Service is ok. Casino and restaurant are nice. Near Parque Morazon and Nightclub Key Largo.

I found that my lack of spanish language a little frustrating but other than that a great place to stay for a few days or a few weeks.Bring plenty of money the girls are'nt cheap but are so beautiful their worth every penny.

I thing if you are a single man or adventure gay and you want to meet a girl for fun... this is the place! This Hotel is famous for "gringos". It has casino, sport bar, restaurant.
